The instructions that come with the K&N Filter say to modify the current airbox setup by messin with the plastic ribs... cutting shit.. yada yada yada.. with the proflow adapter is all this necessary?

I was reading a document that said : Air filter Remove snorkel:1-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Remove airbox lid:1-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Add foam air filter:0-2 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews Add K&N air filter:4-6 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add 2 into 1 Foam air filter OR dual carb-mounted foam filters (removing entire airbox, NOT in addition to removing snorkel and airbox lid above):2-4 sizes larger on mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add Dual K&N carb-mounted air filters (no airbox, NOT in addition to removing snorkel and airbox lid above):4-7 sizes larger on the mains, adjust airscrews, add one size on pilots if necessary Add Outerwear:no change Add TORS elimination kit:no change .... So maybe 280 is correct. This will be the first time i have ever jetted so it may take me some time to figure out if its correct or not.

Completly Stock, going to remove the airbox lid and also install pro-flo adapter with K&N Filter.... does 250 Mains sound right? Is this all i need to do? I am currently at 1 1/2 turns on the airscrews... this is at sea level... 70 degrees.

Now... here is the stupid question of the day... how do I oil the air filter? Just put a bead of oil around the outside edge of the filter?

Ok.. I took the lid off the airbox today to check something inside, and I noticed that their was a puddle of fuel in the bottom of the airbox????? Is this normal? I didnt think so.. any ideas?

I took my seat off today, and when I put it back on it wobbled side to side.. upon furthur investigation I noticed that one of the rubber spacers on the bottom of the seat was missing (1 spacer in each corner). I looked and looked and looked but couldnt find the damn thing... any idea where I can get a replacement.. and what would it be called?

Hmph... well... the airscrews were out 4 turns. I screwed them back all the way in and then 1 1/2 out. I havent had a chance to test it out yet.. but wouldnt that cause a leaning condition and not too rich?

I was also thinking... could it be because I am currently running 24:1 instead or 32:1

Hey all you CA riders... I just bought new from the dealership and only have a temporary registration, can I still ride or do i need to wait for my sticker to come? If so.. what do i do with the temp.. just keep it on me when I am riding?

Here is a question for you all.. kind of unrelated.. but doesnt warrant a new topic... I called around to various dealers and they said with MSRP the out the door price was in the mid 7's...... now.... if MSRP is around 6100... and tax in CA is around $475... where does the rest of the $$$ go? Title & registration is like $800???? Just kinda curious is all. When I was calling around I didnt ask what they big jump was all about.. but they all said the same thing.

Ok Pro-Filter kit is on its way. Now what kind of jetting do I need to do? This is the first mod.. everything else is stock.
