I was just concerned because they are the "plain jane" holeshots.. not the HD's or the MXR's or anything like that.. just regular ones.
Will the hookup any better than the stock tires?
I just bought some Holeshot (std) tires 20x11x10 on ITP Steel for the bike to replace the stockers... are these any good? I wanted some Razr II's but I needed the tires really quick and the dealer didnt have anything in stock...did I make a mistake? This will be for open desert riding and fireroads.
Awesome guys, thanks for the replies. If it will be on the rich side then I wont worry about it... if I start fouling plugs then Ill just pull the lid and do a plug chop.
Thanks for the input.
Currently Jetted for sea level, stock everything except the air filter. Going to corral canyon this weekend and wanted to know if I need to jet or not? 3000-4000ft, if I pass on jetting will a day of riding really mess things up?
Well... generally speaking next day air means once its ready to ship you will have it the next day.. but that doesnt take in account for the time it takes them to process your order, pack it and ship it could take a few days to do that. If you really need it the very next day after you order it then I would call them and see whats up. You are paying for shipping not for them to rush it out to you.
Ok.. here is a really stupid one for ya... but.. hopefully you can help me out... how do tire sizes change the way a bike rides? I mean I am looking to replace my stock tires and am confused on the sizing.. example what is the difference between rear: 20x11x9 & 22x11x9... also what are the .125, .160, .190's that i see and what do they really mean?
I really am confused on how bigger or smaller tires affect performance and such.
Lastly any recommendations for brands on paddles and trail tires.. i am thinkin Razr II for the trails.. and im not sure about paddles.. but any insight would be great.
Bike is totally stock.. nothing changed, when i put it in gear you can feel it try to move forward for like 1/2 a second.. but the wheels dont move.. if the bike is warm then it will idle like that.. is this normal?
Update... for some reason it seems to have worked itself out.. strange.. i changed nothing.. walked away in anger.. came back calm and it was fine... hmmm
THis is a 2 month old stock shee... I removed the clutch cable from the lever so that I could lube it up. Now upon reinstalling it the clutch is engaging with the lever pulled. I turned the adjustment screw and the only way I can quit it engaging it to turn the screw almost all the way out with just 2 treads still in... does this sound right? I marked everything before i removed it and put everything back the same.
Well.. i didnt just leave it in the water.. i attempted to cross an innocent looking stream.. to find out it was about 3 feet deep and got the bike stuck! The bank on the other side was about 1 foot out of water and just quick sinking mud.. so it took a while for me to lug it out of the water. It kinda sounds like the brakes.. so i wont worry then.
Anyone? Now i am concerned that it may be the axle.. will the brakes squeek like that even if they are not applied? This bike is brand new.. only 4 hours on it so far... could it be the axle? It was submerged in water for about 1/2 hour.
A buddy of mine hasnt renewed his registration on his Dirt Bike.. its been over 6 months and he has received a delinquent notice. Now he thinks that if he is caught riding without current registration and if it is over 6 months old that they will cease his bike and impound it... is this fact? Now this is just california that we are talking about... will the rangers really take his bike or just issue him a fine?
Looking to get some new tires for the shee.. currently on the stock tires... any suggestions (not looking for paddles right now)... I want to know what size and type to get. THanks.
Doubt they are worn...bike is brand new, first ride was last week. they squeek when its rolling without the brakes applies... anyway to get ride of this?
Hi,
I need to change the oil in the banshee.. the dealership told me to use Maxima 85W... does this sound correct? Also... how much oil does the banshee need?
Well.. dont know if this is good or horrible... but I put on the new filter.. kept the lid and snorkle on and did NOT change the jets. Ran perfect... didnt hestitate on WOT rode it all day.. i didnt do a plug chop.. but I did pull the plug and it wasnt white... it was black.... so.... however i think just to be safe I will change them and see if there is any change.
Well.. i adjusted the air screws.. not much improvment.. however... I am running 24:1 right now... so I will drain the tank and throw in 32:1 and see if there is any improvment
