  2. i would stay with the 14 tooth... i ride glamis and gordenswell 99% of the time (gordenswell is south of glamis like 20 miles its the same dunes just the south end and the dunes are a bit taller and more technical) i ran a 13/41 set up out there and yes you get a bit more low end but for the time it takes to change it over it realy isnt worth it.. i would say the 14/41 is the best gearing to run out there..the most critical thing you will want for glamis is tires..tires make all the difference.get some hauler type tires even the v hauler .. i run the sand geco and yeah they work but still have the slip and spinn factor. my buddy has the v hauler and he has to work alot harder to get them to slip or turn but the difference is amazing in traction...so dont change the gearing change tires first..
  3. my shee wasnt playing nice and i cant figure it out.. i just re geared it to a 14/39..and its fast as shit..scary fast..but if i let off just a slight bit shee sounds like she is loading up and about to die..?????? my only mods are the fmf pipes jetts reeds suspension and a 5.6 gallon tank..oh and the k&n filter. she never ever ran funny before..the terrain i was running was out at superstition..for those who dont know the area its 100% natural desert terrain..hard fast washes with some sandy washes mixxed in and some rough stuff (bumpy rutty and rocky) but im ok if i stay pinned 6th but the second i back off it just sounds like she wants to load up and die? could it just be that that gering sucks.. i lost 100% of my low end with this gearing so i know that might be the issue but is there anyone else that treyd this gearing??? what results did u get?

  5. he said it gots 96?? my shee does 94 without all the mods?? thats if the radar gun is accurate. i have no motor mods other than pipes jetts and reeds well i did change the gearing a bit..but 96 isnt too impressive to be honest
  6. I JUST GOT ONE OF THOSE STATORS AND THE REGULATOR FOR IT. I SPOKE WITH THE TECHS AT ELECTREX, AND THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THAT ON NEW STATORS, EACH LIGHT OUTPUT IS NOW 125 WATTS, TOTAL 250 WATTS. THAT MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE FOR ME, BECAUSE I WAS GONNA USE A 130W OR MORE FLOOD ON THE "HIGHER WATT" OUTPUT. I AM NOW RUNNING 2 HELLA 500'S AND 2 PIAA 40'S WITH PIAA 55W XTREME WHITE BULBS IN EACH. VERY BRIGHT! JUST THOUGHT YOU GUYS OUT THERE MIGHT WANT TO KNOW........

  11. i think the time to boycot some major gas companys has come..if everyone stops buying gas at the major companys they will have no choice but to lower prices just to keep the doors open..im not saying stop buying gas but stop buying it at places like mobil shell arco sitgo texaco all the major chain stores..goto the local independant guy..if noone is going to the local shell or texaco stations they will have no choice..i mean who realy goes to the gas station with the intent to buy a bag of chips 2 snicker bars and a coke? its an after thaught to buy that stuff when you are already there for gas..if we dont go there for gas we wont buy the junk food and crap they sell inside either..and by everyone not going there not only will prices drop but the little guy who owns joes gas or whatever will make money and the major corperations wont.and when gas prices drop again then joe will keep his prices lower than the major guys anyway.. just my $3.83 a gallon
  12. i just paid $3.oo a gallon in san diego..it used to cost me $15. to fill my ford ranger when i first got it..now $40 dosnt do shit for my tank..i say we boycot the major stations..arco shell mobil all the major stations and ust only the little indepent stations

  14. here is a good link to see the area...the canal is the thick black line running north the sand highway runs just 1/4 mile east of the canal right at the base of the dunes.. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Brawley,CA&l...26350&t=k&hl=en you can move the map its fun to play with you see the 2 canalls cross follow the canal to the east and you will find test hill just 100 yrs north of the canal..and if you follow the canal that goes to the north you end up in glamis and the dunes are cool looking from these shots. you can realy tell the difference between glamis and gordens well..glamis is rolling and smoothe gordens well is a bit taller and more technical dunes
  15. the sand highway from glamis to gordens well 27 miles of straight sand road..its smoothe fast and straight.you can keep it pinned in 6th untill you are so scared you have to slow down or untill it blows up..as far as paddle count im not positive im running the sand geko paddle with 13/41 gearing i know its on my stock rims. thing is it never bogged like this before?? could my reeds have something to do with it? i know they are shot they are the stock reeds with close over 200 hrs on the bike? and on hard dirt it runs great..we rode from plaster city to occotillo wells on a long straight road and it was pulling hard in all gears and in 6th it was perfect i keept trying to shift thinking it was tapped out 5th..but there is no 7th gear so i couldnt get any shift out of it? i will try to find an areal photo of the sand highwaty to post here for you guys to get a feel for the area im talking about

  17. i noticed this weekend that in the sand im boggy in 6th..1-5 hit hard but the second i hit 6th its like it just quits and falls out of the band? im running a stock motor with fmf pipes and a 310 main good paddles with 3lbs air, dune tracker fronts. gas is pump gas but im burnin 91 octain 32:1 mix with yamalube new plugs..im stumped? any ideas whats going on..its like the power band just turns off in 6th it gets slugish like it is loading up and about to foul the plugs but dosnt but the second i down shift to 5th its off like a rocket again... i put up as much as i could think of to get you guys an idea of whats going on any help ar suggestions would help alot....thanks

  19. i know this has been on here a million times and i have tryed to search for it but couldnt find it..just how hard are reeds to install into the stock cages?? im going with boysen reeds in the stocki cages..any tips or info would help very much..

  21. fuck if i order parts from a shop or a private person i expect them to be here in a reasonable ammount of time...i have cancled orders at local shops because they tell me 7 to 10 days and 15 days later still no parts?? yeah i agree it sucks to know you have paid up front and still 2 months later no parts? they are pipes customs dosnt take 2 months to look at pipes and see what they are..fuck all they gotta do is open the box look ans see its not drugs not a bomb and send it on its merry way..2 months fuck thats a long time..

  25. the ak-47 uses a 7.62x39 mm bullett and is a fast and powerfull round..the .223 is a nice round but the 7.62 is a bigger bang for the buck it will pierce a 1 inch piece of metal where as my .223 wont go through it but will fuck it up..i have noticed that the 7.62 round loses its accuracy alot faster than the 223 how ever my mini 14 is very accurate at 600 yrds but the 7.62 is only good for 250 to 300 but thats just in my gun..others might have different experiance
