yeah cmc is my main sponcor basicly...its not like a factory sponcorship deal where i get free shit but i know the owner very well and he hooks me up very very well with parts service and race support..right now we have 3 guys on the cmc team..1 pro rider and 2 beginners.i got in with CMC when they were still prety small and now that they are growing like they are im considered a cmc team rider. thats why you see the giant CMC TEAM RACING on my tank and the CMC stickers all over my bike.. motoworld is a 3 min walk from my house and i will drive the 15 mins to CMC 100% of the time rather than go to motoworld.. i know all the girls that work at cmc all the mechanics and the owners. the prices there are un touchable and the employees are more than friendly and awlys willing to help..even without the discounts i get for being a team rider the prices are smokin..before i was riding for CMC i bought set of fox 180 pants and a jersey there for $70.00..the pants at motoworld same size color everthing exact same pants $120.00 you cant beat that..and now that i ride for them..i cant even tell you what i pay for stuff its too stupid..rims and tires mounted sets hole shot on itp rims under $120.00...the place is kick ass all the girls that work there are cool and hottttt..and the mechanics there are the only people allowed to work on my bike...and now that they got a deal going with lonestar my front end is abut to be very very nice

i will be at gordens..but im looking to ride up the sand highway early saturday morning and ride glamis for a while..the only problem is i need gas at glamis..i have a 5.6 gallon tank but it takes 3/4 of a tank to get from gordens to the store at glamis and back..im not too firmiliar with the glamis area but i would love to ride there with some people that know the place well...i would be willing to kick down some cash to anyone from the san diego area that would be willing to haul an extra couple cans of gas to glamis so i could re fuel up there and not have to pay $29.99 a gallon at the store...i will bring the 2 full 5 gallon cans to you and kick down a bit of cash for the extra space and weight it takep up in your rig...let me know..

i noticed this weekend that my prety much stock shee was not only catching the honda and yamaha 450's but i was pulling away from them prety good.this was my first desert race with that many other quads on the starting line and though the 450's are tough bikes the shee is still the best bike i have ridden in the desert, be it sand or hard core southern california open desert the shee is the bike to ride

i dont care what lock you put on a your banshee, if someone wants that bike they are going to get it. and your home owners insurance will cover it if it gets stolen from home.there are some insurance companys will sell you banshee insurance..but hey if you wanna lock it up thats still a good idea..
-
yeah you did...but it seems like every time you tryed to get me to glamis was bad timing..im a gordens guy anyway...but i will be doing alot of racing this season too so the dunes are going to be a luxury trip for me this year..you should try to come out and race plaster city with us this season.. the race last weekend at superstitioin was a blast...the next race is plaster city east and its a team race..160 miles and you can traide riders every lap if you want..but you only get 2 riders to a team..lol..

how come no one ever uses the racing forums?? it has been the same things on there for months. am i the only one that races my shee???

so a long time ago i was asking if anyone had the white bros 265 watt stator..i got zero feed back on it fro the HQ so i just went and got it...what a piece of shit it turned out to be.first off you cant run 2 lights on this crap pile of a stator with out running a second channel which requires a second regulator, after its all hooked up and you have 2 channels running you can only run 110 watts of light from each channel..220 wats is alot of light on a banshee..but here is the problem. the stator is a hunk of shit and will fry your electrical system on your shee..
-
well i found out that you can go from the flats at gordens well to the store at glamis and back on a 5.6 gallon tank if you dont play around too much.. we also found out that the white bros stator i was asking about is a big giant lump of shit

anyone have any ideas or tips on gearing? the stock 14/41 seems to work out ok but i ran a 14/39 last weekend and it was fast as shit i was running away from my buddys banshee but i kept having to back off because it was winding out so bad i was scared to blow the top end. anyone use a 14/43 set up? hows that work out?

WAIT HOLD ON,,, the desert season ended???? and now your telling me that the desert season is starting again???? ummmm...my first trip of the season was 28 years ago..i have been going out every 2 weeks for the last 28 years...damb that might explaine why there was noone out there all summer..the desert season ends.?? huuuumh ok if you insist.i just thaught people didnt ride because they were too scared of the heat or snakes or some shit.. wow..desert season ends you guys are serious too huh..ok when did it end? and why?

jetting is golden..dead on..im just woundering because i race desert races and some places we hit are 5-15 mile roads that are straight fast and pinned wide open.
-
spend $90 and get the asv unbreakable leaver and dont worry about it anymore
-
i know this is the type of thing that mudcool would have asked but im asking this question seriously.. i want to know if i run my shee pinned 6th will it blow up or will i be safe? the places i ride there are washes and roads that i hit and ride pinned wide open 6th for a long time the only reason i back off is because i worry about blowing the top end..will it blow if i run in the top of 6th for an extended period of time? or will i be ok running this fast and this high rpm for so long
-
my jetting is not the issue i will stake my right nut on that..i ride this place every 2 weeks and i never ever had a single issue with the shee running funny.. i also race desert races at this area and the shee is set up for the area and the races out there. the jetting was done for the area the altitude and all factors were taken in when doing jetting..so im 100% sure the jetting is right on.. im starting to think that because i have to wind the shee up so high with this gearing that when i let off the fuel flow just is too much for the carbs to take ???? any ideas?
-
yes i realize that race style quads are wanted by some riders..but my point here is that now the only quads that the factories are putting out that are worth a shit are the race style quads..where is the yfz 450 for the average guy? something comfortable that you dont have to raise the steering stem? all these new bikes are not comfortable. yeah they are set up for tracks, but what about those of us who dont ride tracks..what is out there that is a good comfortable all around woods desert mountain and sand bike???? oh yeah the banshee. thats all..the honda 400ex? what a dog. there isnt anything to replace the banshee or honda fourtax 250r that rides as comfortable?
-
i dont think its jetting...i ran a 13/41 last week at the same spot and not one bit of trouble..thats why i was thinking gearing

Banshee availibility in 2006?
crbanshee replied to WoodsWarrior's topic in General Banshee Discussion
even if you just go to the stealership in late 06 your going to get your shee..just because they are saying they wont build one in 07 dosnt mean they will build less in 06 -
back in the late 60's early 70's the southern california desert races drew in racers from all over. as many as 3000 guys would start in a single race. guys like J.N ROBERTS, MALCOM SMITH, MIKE MCCOY. among hundreds of annomous riders.the little guy just out for a sunday ride to teams of serious die hard racers. now here it is 2005 and the last race i was at there was 100 people entered in 8 different classes? where has the passion and dedication gone. where did all the guys that want to race go? the second half of the california desert racing season is starting next sunday october 16th at superstition mountain..just 90 mins east of down town san diego. and even though we saw numbers rise slightly in the first half it still dosnt show the prommise that our sport is comming back to life. is it the fact now all the new bikes are built for the mx track? and is track riding realy taking off that big and fast that all the new bikes have to be designed for track use? take for example the banshee..yeah there are many design flaws.things like the fact that its front heavy and the low end just isnt there.but at the same time its a comfortable bike and the average joe can ride it and feel safe on it. then you have the new 450's they are all designed for mx tracks and modeled after a motorcycle.the seating is high and the bars are low. do that many people realy ride mx tracks on quads these days and if they do then where is the quad supercross? i know that here in san diego there are no tracks that even allow quads. the closest one is almost a 2 hour drive. the lake elsinor track has a small quad track that realy isnt fun.its almost like they built it just because there was an extra 1 acre lot and they had some extra dirt from the mx tracks. its small tight and no place to realy get the quad opened up like it was ment to be. with 2006 said to be the last year of the banshee what does this mean for the future of our sport? are all sport quads now going to be geared for the mx tracks?and why is it that they are going this rout anyway. have you been to glamis on a holliday weekend? take presedents day for example. over a million people take to the desert of southern california..and how many do you see at the track? ow many people from the middle and eastern edge of this country plan to take their vacations every year and head to glaims or some other desert area to ride. and just how many do actualy look foreward to their 2 weeks off every year so they can load the family up and drive to the track? i just thaught id throw that out there and see what type of reaction it might get. after all it dosnt seem like the manufactures realy take joe public in to mind when it comes to the new designs for bikes. i mean realy can anyone name guys that race quads on the mx tracks on a regular basis.gncc races are all that you realy ever hear about never the quad supercross..every single year we hear about ricki carmichael and jeremy mcgrath and mike larocco tearing up the stadiums all aacross the country. hell there are guys comming in from europe to race the american supercross but no quads? so do we realy need all the quads to be designed for track rididng??? why hasnt yamaha came out with a design for the average joe. i get the fact that everything is 4stroke these days. but wouldnt it be great if they came out with a 4stroke that the average guy could buy and enjoy.. thats just my 2 cents..what do you guys think

the stock stator should put out 70 watts.. did u upgrade in lighting?? for example if you are running stock lights they are 35 watts each..but the bike draws power too so you have to remember 35 wat lights will not get a true 35..and if you did upgrade lights is your ground solid or did u float it through the stator?? im running the trailtech lights and they wired in direct to the stock wires..my friend is running two 100 watt pias with an electrex 265 watt stator and it was a bitch to wire in. he has to run 2 channels off the stator wich means 2 regulators and 2 switches for the lights..so i recomend checking the wiring from the stator all the way to the lights. and the regulator too..but if it is a problem with the stator none of the electrical on the bike would work. ignition rear light none of it..
