  1. Not trying to be a dick or nothing but being you're a dealer and people ask you for input on what they should run carb wise for their setup, what do you do? I just dont see how you can be a dealer for something and not really know anything about it.
  2. Damn, a carb dealer asking for input?? You should have stuck with those Mikunis and switched them to gas!
  3. Add another mark to dajogejr for helping me out recently (or him trying to help and me breaking it). You can count on me to call you up in the future if something goes bad with my Banshee :beer:
  4. Vitos Mono blocks can be made to put out 90 hp but with alot of porting by someone whos knows what they are doing, as mentioned earlier, a cub with a clean up port is more practical.
  5. As far as I know with my cylinders is Im shipping them out Saturday and there is about a 2 week turn around and then Ill have it back together with hopefully a week to spare.
  6. Mine popped right off when I hit it with the impact. Could be because its only 2 years old with some pretty easy ride time it

  8. Yeah it definatly sucked, I was hoping to be ripping around the yard with it today, but that wont be happening. Talked to Bob though about having him port my stock cylinders and check out what he can do about my current ones, probably have him mic them, check surface and head for flatness and just give them a checking over and see if maybe the problem with my right side melting down is due to something with the cylinder itself and nothing Im doing. So just to make sure I have a running banshee that wont be slow Im having him do a dune port on my stock ones.

Well I wont be making Silver Lake this weekend like I had planned, ran into some problems putting the hog back together and pulled the heli coil on one of my jugs so Im gonna send my stockers to RB Porting and have give those a dune port and see if he can fix up the others that are screwed right now, if all goes well though I will be good to go for the end of October!

  11. Different gases will burn different colors but also of course could be like you said burning coolant. I think VP has specific directions on their site how to read plugs when you run their fuel, maybe there is a site that does the same for the gas you run.
  12. I'd say definatly go for the 4 mil cub. A 4 mil crank will drop right in, anything bigger will require cases trenching and like dajogejr said it cost the same to build a 10 as it does a 7 mil, I have also heard many people complain that once they get their 7's going they dont see big enough difference in times or power to have warrented them to switch from a 4 to 7. If you got the cash and dont want a 4, go for the 10 mil.
  13. Chances are if its smoking bad on the right side and oil is coming out of it then you have a bad crankseal. You also said you recently bought it? You get a good deal on it? You will have to split the cases to change that seal if that is whats wrong, chances are the previous owner knew this and thats why he sold it.

  15. Thats cubshee's old crankenstein and they are rotax cylinders flipped around and mated to banshee cases. There is a badass one for sale on PS right now for 10k.
  16. I tried! I mean I could be there tomorrow but the only sand the Banshee would be pounding is when Im towing the damn thing across the sand! Atleast you guys are near all of the good motor builders!

I run 50:1 and I had 21cc domes in it but being Im thinking its an octane problem Im gonna try running 110 torco so Im gonna drop to the 19cc domes so I can get more compression out of it while having to run the race gas(if thats my problem). It looks like I definatly get detonation on the right side which is why I wondered the cost of alky being I hear its pretty rare to have that happen on alky. I think I should be able to get the beast together myself, its the first Banshee Ive ever done and I did my old CR80 with my dad telling me what to do and thanks for the offer ont he jets, but I bought a whole slew of them this summer and have from 250-370's so Im all good on that.
  18. Haha yeah, earlier in the year I was there every other weekend. I got some work done to my Banshee done over Memorial weekend and its been blowing up ever since which is why I havent been up there too much this summer.
  19. Yeah I live really close, Im only about 50 minutes or so depending if my friend is trying to follow me in his slow ass Jeep.
  20. Yeah Ill get ahold of you closer to the day. I hope to have mine back together by this Sunday at the latest and if it dont blow in the yard I'll have it broke in and ready for Silver Lake. Dajogejr also if you can get up to Silver Lake later this fall let me know and I'll be there if the Banshee's working. Hell may even have to take the Warrior if it comes down to it.
  21. Saw a earlier post that someone may be going the 30th? I could quite possibly make that trip if my banshee goes back together and doesnt break again. Im gonna give it hell around the yard for a few hours being it likes to blow on the dunes =\ I just gotta get my top end back together and cruise around a bit and see if it decides to work this time. Hopefully me switching to 110 race gas will get rid of my piston holes, BTW how much does alky run a gallon? I checked the price on the Torco 110 the other day and its $4.00 a gallon which isnt bad but if alky isnt much more maybe I'll give that a whirl for next summer.   23. The HD springs are to help keep the clutch from slipping when you're on it.
