  1. How about some bigger pics that you can actually see something in... For what you're asking for your setup, people are going to want to see some really good detail in your pics.
  2. Well, never heard back from wildcard racing about his domes, so BUMP! Anyone have some 21's or 20's they would swap me?
  3. Hate to tell ya, but the keihin carbs can't be swapped back to gas once they are set up for alky. The only way it can be done is if you have a seperate set of carb internal bodies you can unbolt and swap out, but to get the internal carb bodies you pretty much have to a second set of carbs set up for gas, which would make swapping the internal bodies a total waste of time. The powerjets you could just close up if they haven't been drilled out. Some builders drill out the dump tube on the poerjets a little bigger, which doesn't let them ever totally seal up. Long story short... you can't swap them back to gas.
  4. Gotcha. Was really curious how you were getting 8-900cc out of a smallblock twister. That makes more sense. He referenced your name in the same post as the 8-900cc thing, which made me think it was your setup.
  5. Easier to shift. The gears have more rotational time to engage with the next gear. Instead of having 1/6th the time/area to engage they now have 1/3rd the time/area
  6. I've had the same trade request going on for a few weeks now with not much action. Best of luck!
  7. BB shearers would make your 4mil cub fall on its face. Stick to the small-bore shearers on a cub that small.
  8. If you are strictly drag racing then the bigger carb would benefit you. You will loose low end throttle response though. Have you tried re-gearing for a little more top end speed?
  9. Powervalves are an adjustable exhaust valve that lowers your exhaust port duration and helps provide low end power. How long any engine will last goes directly to your maintenance and setup. It also goes a lot to the quality of the parts you use. The longer rods help reduce the side-load on your pistons as they travel. Draw a picture in your head of the crank and piston traveling up and down in the cylinder. A shorter rod puts more side load on the piston than the longer rod. The longer rod cranks also help smooth out the torque curve and power delivery. The 4mm stroke will add both power and torque. Give kevin at Herr Jugs racing a call and talk to him about what you want to do with your bike and what type of riding you do. He can help you get the cylinders that would best suit what you want to do, be it aftermarket cylinders or porting your stock cylinders. His number is in my signature. I would get your stock cylinders ported for whatever you want to do with your bike, and maybe step up to a 4mil long-rod crank if you can afford it. What bolt-on parts do you already have? There are plenty of things you can do to help these engines perform better before you should be considering porting or a stroker crank. - Jared
  10. don't you have anything else to do besides trying to scam people. beat it fart.
  11. thats a spiffy front end.
  12. Tighten it up until it gets really tight... tighten it a little more, then when it gets really easy to turn you've stripped the threads. Back it off a quarter turn after this point and you're good to go. lol Just do your best to match the ones you can easily reach and you should be fine.
  13. lol loco
  14. Get a hold of rootracing here on HQ, he sells the chariot stuff, maybe he could help you out. Or just call up chariot and ask them. Maybe you just got some freebie o-rings.
  15. I think the only thing that really ever bothers me is the huge iron cross front bumpers... those things just look goofy. ...and I don't run a front bumper because I try not to run into stuff. lol! I also yank the front bumpers to try and help make space for smashing all my junk in my trailer.
  16. $200 for an ignition switch?? you can get them on egay for $35. Tell yamaha to fuck off on the part and just pay them for the time to figure out the problem. Hell, you could save the $35 and just splice the wires together.
  17. 8-900cc? Its a smallblock twister and the biggest bore you can get on them is 78mm, but most come in 70-75mm. It would take one hell of a massive stroke to get 8-900cc out of that. Where did you hear the cc number? Just curious.
  18. On the bigger weekends there are quite a few big bikes that show up at KP for the racing. Not as many as you would see at Utah or LS, but still some nice fast bikes. Turbo GSXR1000's, 16mil DM, 4mil cheetahs, 4mil cubs, 10mil cubs, snomo powered bikes... If you venture out on the dunes, you won't see anyone. If you stay at the big hills and want to race there will be plenty of action.
  19. Kevin does some awesome work! I've always been a do-it-myself kinda guy, but with my new job I don't have the time I used to. I've been sending my stuff to kevin now and I'm extremely satisfied with his work and craftsmanship. I have a set of stock stroke cylinders he did a little dune port on for me and they are very nice!
  20. I've never had a chariot head, but I'm guessing by the size description that they go around the tops of the domes somewhere.
  21. Yeah, i mentioned that to him in the PM's. Thanks cam.
  22. Side cut your gears, shift star mod, roller bearing from cascade w/ stock spring, and shift shaft mod. You'll be good to go on the transmission department. I'd get a billet basket and some HD springs as well. The straight-cut gears would be overkill.
