  3. I'll have to check the label next time I'm in the garage. It says in the details on the back that it is gas and oil resistant. Like I said above, I've been using the stuff for years and mostly in methanol engines. Not a single problem. - Jared

  5. I agree with loco, but with the steel bushing you shouldn't have to replace it so often. If you run the stock one with the bronze bushing, I would replace it any time you have the clutch cover off. (within reason). They are cheap, and so are the washers and clips that hold it on.
  6. I've been using the hi-temp gas/oil resistant silicone for going on 8 years now. No problems at all. If your cases are clean and prepped well, it works great. If you slop it on a set of dirty cases with the old yamabond all over them, of course its going to leak. I've used it on about 12 engines of my own so far and have had zero case leaks. Take you time and clean your cases good and it will work fine.

  14. This is Curt's old top end and cases. The cylinders are at 66mm bore, and have some scratches around the exhaust port on one cylinder, and in a couple spots in the other cylinder. I honed them and cleaned them up as best I could. You could bore them out to the .100 over max stock cylinders will let you go, or you could buy a new 66mm top end and just run them as they are. (I would run them the way they are if I were going to keep it.) That being said, I'm not going to ask a whole lot for them. They are runnable, but are on the last bore and have scratches in them. BUT these cylinders did make 100hp with shearer's and 34PJ carbs back in Kansas a few years ago. This top end rips hard. FAST drag ported 4mil cylinders. 66mm bore, Polished. $125 Pro-Design Cool Head w/ 18cc Domes cut for the FAST cylinders. $165 Powder-coated Candy Blue cases w/ chain whack. No cracks or leaks from chain whack. Port-Matched to FAST Cylinders. $200 Intakes for 33-35mm Carbs. $45 Everything for $450 shipped. OBO! I also have a WCR 2-5 Override, Stator, Flywheel, Kicker Gear, Idler Gear... I have almost everything you'd need to make a complete engine. If you want any of the other extra stuff let me know and I'll make you a deal. This is a great setup for someone wanting to get into the drag racing stuff without busting the bank. This top end ran consistent 4.0's and made 100hp. Don't be afraid to make offers!! Picture of the scratches on the cylinder walls. Same sort of thing around the exhaust port.   15. Sounds like time to pull the clutch cover... I have a bottom end walk-through pinned at the top of the repairs and mods section. Take a look at it and you will see how simple the bottom end and clutch side are to work on... - Jared

  19. Works great, haven't had a single issue with it. I've been using the red hi-temp gas/oil resistant silicone for about 8 years now & have never had a single leak. If your cases are clean and you give it enough time to dry, it works perfect.
