DO NOT PAY THE TICKET! My sister is a lawyer. Go to court and argue your side of things. In most cases your appearance at court shows that you do not believe you are guilty, and if you are polite, dress nice, and don't do anything obscene in court the judge will usually at least knock it down a little bit. The worst thing that happens is you have to pay the full fine. Explain to the judge that you had spoken with other police officers who said as long as you wore a helmet and followed normal traffic laws that it was ok for you to ride to the forest. Take pictures if your helmet and safety gear and take it with you, if you have a clean driving record bring that up, print up a map showing the route you take to get to where you ride and show the judge that you are familiar with the area. Explain to him that you ride slow and reasonable while on the roads and do your best to keep your engine quiet.... The judge may dismiss it altogether, or at least decrease the fine. Paying the ticket is straight admission of guilt for breaking whatever law or ordinance the office sited you for, which can affect your record and driving record and insurance later. - Jared

Just a post whore... Trading from a 10" wheel to an 8" wheel is generally an undesirable direction to trade, that's why I said good luck with that. Its like trying to trade a set of stock pipes for some nice drag pipes. the 10" wheels don't allow the side-walls to flex or allow the tire to grow with wheel-speed. They are also heavier. The 10" wheel also tends to hold the paddles flat across the tire. That's why trading a 10" wheel / tire combo for an 8" wheel / tire combo may be difficult for ya.

I will give you 12 pesos. Final Offer Bob.

You are correct, both cylinders will need some epoxy or welding done on the cases. The twister's transfers go outside the stock case heat transfer windows, as do the DM's. You have to weld up or epoxy the heat transfer holes in the stock cases or get a st of mattoon cases to make either cylinder work. To answer the other guys question, the displacement of either cylinder depends on what bore size you go with. A 78mm bore 10mil stroke will be 611cc on either cylinder. - Jared

Yep, I've heard of mexi-fest. It too was just another excuse for people to get drunk and ride and get hurt out there...

I like the twister product better. The craftsmanship and finish on the billet cylinders is second to none. I've had lots of cubs and so far about 4 or 5 different twister setups across my bench and I love the twister cylinders. Right now I have two CP Industries cylinders, a 485 cheetah and a 465 cub. Both a a good cylinder and run good, but I sitll prefer the Twister stuff when I can get it. I might try and sell my 485 cheetah top end for a set of twister cylinders.... -Jared

The DM is a cast aluminum cylinder with a nicasil sleeve. The Twister cylinder is a billet aluminum cylinder with steel sleeves. Both can perform amazingly well. Its all about personal preference. Both come in similar bore sizes. I believe the DM cylinder has bigger surface area on the intakes than the twister cylinder. Twister cylinders can be machined to accept a powervalve (as you can see in my pic). Both cylinders require quite a bit of case modification. The twister cylinders have a better coolant flow through the block IMO. Here's a big-bore twister cylinder I used to have: Here's a DM cylinder:

I'd use Kevin @ HJR. His number is in my signature. Great guy to deal with. He does good work with fast turnaround time. - Jared

LOL I've been riding walden for years and years and years and never heard of this. That place has turned into a dump hole full of drunk riders and booze hounds.
-
Good luck with that...

Weld that foot peg to the frame! All the way around so there is no hope of ever getting it off. LOL

Do you need all the brake rotor crap on them or do you just want plain ole spindles? I have like 4 sets laying around. I'll snap a few pics for ya. - Jared EDIT: Nevermind, apparently I am totally full of shit. Went out with my camera to take some pics and could not find a single spindle anywhere. No idea what I did with them. Sorry.

Out of balance? Got any grooves in your basket? Usually the fibers breaking like that is caused by uneven distribution of pressure on the clutch plate fingers....

How to build a cheap carb sync tool

You keep your HVAC non-sense voodoo tools out of here! Shoo! Shoo! Be gone! -
Make sure your back-cut gears are cut at a 45deg angle. An incorrect angle will make them shift like crap. Post up pics of your forks when you get it apart.
-
Clutch out of adjustment? Maybe its time for some transmission upgrades... best route to go if you do nothing but drag race would be an override. If you still occasionally dune ride then you want a modded stock trans. Side-cut the gears, put the shift drum on bearings, shift-pro, etc. - Jared
