  1. I had to call DG performance directly to purchase replacements for mine. Try giving them a call 1-866-653-1647. If I remember correctly they were good to work with it just took me a couple tries to get through.
  2. Thanks for posting what you figured out. Its too bad that its not cost effective.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure hard chrome has more of a dull look to begin with. It might defeat the purpose if the existing chrome is only sandblasted.
  4. http://blog.eastwood.com/eastwood-chatter/10-tricks-to-remove-stripped-stuck-bolts/ Pretty much sums up most of the technique's. #6 works really well but idk if it would be possible to get a good enough ground to weld on whats left of the studs.
  5. Dont know if you already know this but make sure if you are going to fill it with anything oil base that you use rtv instead of pure silicone or your going to have a big mess on your hands.
  6. I posted how to build a cheap sync tool a while ago. Works good for me here is the link. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=151733&st=0&p=1311146&hl=+%20+how%20+build%20+carb%20+sync%20+tool&fromsearch=1entry1311146
  7. Not saying it couldn't be done but I'd like to see somebody make it up the bentonite nightmare here in billings Mt on a quad. That would be badass!!
  8. Here is another nice little reference compliments of yamaha. banshee color history
  9. I'm not preaching but wearing steel toe hiking boots is how i broke my foot in 3 places, my leg, and tore up my ankle. After that I always wear my boots if im jumping or racing. I used to wear half boots when my buddies and i all had pit bikes, never on a quad but they are a lot easier to shift with but obviously do not have the ankle/lower leg protection of a full boot. It all comes down to what kind of riding you are doing. I'm gonna try moving my shifter up a cog too and see how it works thanks for the idea.
  10. I ride mine to work all summer and worry about somebody stealing it because i work graves, this is what i do: #1. Big chain and lock (will at least slow them down) #2. Driveway alarm set where if some punk starts screwing with my banshee it rings the wireless alarm sitting on my desk so i can get the jump on them. http://www.harborfreight.com/wireless-driveway-alert-system-93068.html The wireless driveway alarms are cheap, work really good for all sorts of stuff, and if you put it in your bedroom you could be running out the door with a shotgun in no time and best of all it doesnt alert the crook Hope that helps.
  11. That sucks, not like my state is perfect but in mt I paid $150 and get permanent plates and a permanent ohv tag that's good for as long as you own your quad.
  12. I cant find this posted anywhere else and i thought it could help some people out so here's the link: Illustrated parts catalog Its for anything yamaha through all years by the looks of it.
