it would be worth it man. We'd make it worth it for you. LOTS of riding to do. I'm actually thinking about taking some of the folks from the get-together out to my ranch for a days riding. I have around 40,000 acres of land 3 hours from KP. I'd take you riding there if you came that far. Walden sand dunes is only a 2.5hr drive from KP as well. Been kinda thinking about maybe just making it a multi-dune vacation/ride thing. Hit KP, walden, and my ranch for those who are interested. There's nothing else out there like Walden, and not many people have been there before. Would be cool to get some of the BHQ guys down there. - Jared

Yes, I can tell you from experience... porting your pistons will just let them fail earlier. I had a piston break the skirt off and bugger up a top end. Jacked a set of VForce 3 reeds as well thanks to all the crap banging around inside the cylinder. Had to buy a new top end, gaskets, o-rings for the head, and new reeds for that one side, thanks to a broken skirt. lol Don't port them. For the 1 or 2 hp you MIGHT gain, its not worth the added risk of a broken skirt down the road. - Jared

Just watch how you crest large razorbacks. There's a technique for it, but I can't really explain it. You will figure it out after you cross a couple of them. Lean one way, then the other, etc. As for cornering, do it just like you would on dirt. Your front tires will tend to grab a little more than normal dirt tires would, so just don't go ripping the bars to one side and expect the thing not to jerk on ya. The no more jetting is a common misconception with the raptors. You still need to adjust your fuel map curves for any aftermarket add-ons you put on there. They have no O2 sensor and will NOT adjust your fuel for you when you mod the bike, you need to reprogram the fuel curve for whatever mods you put on, be it with pre-programmed units available or with one of those t-pot fuel curve adjusters. - Jared

I had a guy at KP talk all kinds of shit on banshees one time. He was on a 330R and his buddy was on a 310R, so I told them lets race. I took them out to a good sized dune and we lined up and took off and I beat the shit out of them by more than just a few lengths at the top. They didn't come back down. :yelrotflmao:

Theshee, yours isn't just out of true, the inner bearings aren't too far behind the outer's. You can have a crank rebuilt, but its about $200 in some cases to have one rebuilt. They make nice lawn ornaments though. :thumbsup:

Your clymers manual should provide you with an ohm spec for he pickup coil if I remember right... Any kinda jerry-rigging on the timing plate or pickup coil is bad news IMO. ...and he is right, once up and running good, cubs love timing. I had mine at 9

I've kinda noticed that... they all think its cool and doesn't affect them at all and they all sit around and say how smoking cigs is more determental to your health.... its always the other other potheads who agree with them, whereas the rest of the world just looks at them as, well... potheads.

LOL Actually I had the same sorta thing happen to me in the for sale forum a couple days ago. The server locked up and I hit the buttom 3 times and it made copies of the post. I just knew to stop hitting submit after one or two retries. Maybe he got click-happy? :biggrin:

Just an idea, that might save you some money... I've seen guys mount another stock petcock on the other side of the tank and run a single line to each carb. Pretty simple way to make your own pingel. Just an idea. - Jared

Fuck, you guys must not ride much. I will burn 30gal in a day and a half at KP. If I'm going to KP and plan on staying out there, not comming back to town each night where I can fill up I will bring about 40gal of gas to last me a weekend. Sometimes I will bring a little bit home, but if its a good weekend I will burn all of it. But I don't stop riding just because its dark. I ride all through the night and typically sleep during mid-day when its too fucking hot to ride at KP.
