  1. I'm all about sending Boonman my flywheel, I just have to stay away from Silver Lake long enough to send it to him.
  2. Can you post picks of the piston, maybe the spark plug that was in the bad side? How long did this top end last before the problem occured. If the piston was hitting the head, it would not have lasted for long. If your piston was indeed hitting the head you should see some sort of damage to the head also. We still haven't determined whether or not you were lean. That big chunk that came off could be because it was so lean it burnt the piston right down to the ring landing and finally broke a chunk off. Need more info!
  3. Sorry about the bad info. Looks plastic. I guess it depends where you go. I got my puller from a local parts store for 20 bucks, but they are not a dealer either.
  4. I've never seen it, but I'd like to. Anyone have a link?
  5. I would definately check the float level. Thats kind of a toughy.
  6. Are they sold? If not, are they spark arrestors?
  7. Did you have your head shaved? Was it by someone reputable?
  8. I second the GO FUCK YOURSELF. You better not ever feed your kid McDonalds or you will be one up on us "Dirty Smokers", you will be killing your own children. Someone w/ as many posts on this website as you ought to know better than to blatantly post an opinion such as this and not expect the reaction you are going to get. If you or your kids have never eaten fast food I apologize, otherwise go to the video store and rent "Super Size Me". Have a nice day dickweed!
  9. When you say play do you mean you can move the connecting rod side to side a little, or do you mean you can pull up on the connecting rod and get play. You can have side to side play, once you get the piston in the cylinder , it is not going to move that way. And did your piston look ashy like it burnt up, or did a piece just break off?
  10. You might try turning your airscrews some, sounds like yo are lean. I know it doesn't always mean much but fmf suggests 30 pilots w/lid just the snorkel off, and you are running 27.5's w/lid off. May want to get some 30's, possibly even 32.5's, but try turning in your airscrews first.
  11. I don't believe the prices are equal. It seems the Rickey Stator is quite a bit cheaper. http://www.rickystator.com/. As a matter of fact I checked it and it is only 35.00 + shipping. It is plastic, but I have to believe it is pretty durable from RS and you can't see it anyway. Pro-design's runs almost 100.
  12. Silver Lake is a no drinking area. There aren't even any bars in the immediate vicinity. But there are still campgrounds and hotels in the area you can go have some beers after a long day of riding. But then again, the dunes aren't open at night either. I agree w/the ban in the dune area and I also like to do my fair share of partying. There are plenty of wreckless assholes you have to watch out for on the dunes because they don't use common sense. I can't imagine if these same asswholes were drinking also.

You can PM Boonman, he will give you a very fair price on milling the head.
  14. Is that all the way around, or just fronts?
  15. 32:1 klotz supertechniplate.
  16. Will still start, just won't rev at all. My buddy said the same thing about the spark being there every time he checked it, so I wouldn't rule it out yet. You could always unplug the TORS to check it.
  17. It wasn't that hard, just a lot nicer to split a case on a banshee.
  18. You are going to squash that mellon dude!
  19. Ended up splitting the cases last night. What a pain in the ass, vertically split cases. It took a while to get the crank bearing pressed back in the case, but we got it and crank is turning true and free. Makes a banshee motor look like the best design ever.
  20. Were you running an aftermarket crank w/18cc domes?
  21. I can get 110 at two gas stations in town, and they have a pump at Dunelands at Silver lake, but don't know exactly what it is.
  22. 3 1/2 hrs,......
  23. Make sure you get the pro-design filter adapter to keep that air clean!
