  1. What would be a safe size to go w/ a stock crank, I don't mind running race fuel. And would it be safe to run 110 pump gas like you see at some gas stations, or should I look into VP fuel or something like that?
  2. I just helped a friend w/ a warrior that had what appeared to be good spark, but would only start when bump started. Had good compression, fuel, the whole 9 yards. Ended up being stator. Assuming it just needed enough revs to generate a strong enough spark to run. Would do weird stuff like start every once in a while. Would usually start back up after running if you tried right away, but if you waited only five minutes, would have to bump start again. I would try all the simple stuff as benbb stated, but don't overlook the stator. Good luck!
  3. Is this possible, and would I have to run 110 or could I get away w/mixed? Performed a search and didn't find exactly what I wanted. And would it be ok to go +4 on the timing w/this combination? Mods in sig.
  4. Thanks Quick-z, found them. Should have known to check DRI's website.
  5. Anyone know where I can get any?
  6. Vito's sells a kit for I believe around $50. They advertise in dirtwheels, not sure if they have a website.
  7. Are there any extreme disadvantages to this mod as in hard time keeping it at useable revs. Also, are you refering to weisco's as a light piston?
  8. I had a plug back out last year on me w/ stock compression. Thank god only thing that happened is I fouled a plug. But I was running a little on the lean side.
  9. Yeah, I could probablygo down to about 310's, had it jetted at 330 for cooler weather. Ran 330's at silver lake in 70 degree weather though and ran alright. Oh yeah, and I have a minor cleanup port.
  10. I have about the same setup as you, except I run w/airbox lid off and I run a 30 pilot and 330 mains, airscrews 1.5 turns out. I can tell you that I am a little on the rich side. I would agree w/ shredish and start out about 300's, or 310's. As it goes right now if you are running stock jetting, it won't be long before you will run into trouble.
  11. You could tell it was way lean, the exhaust side of the piston basically disintegrated until it reached the first ring landing and a chunk gave away and that was it. The pieces that were in the exhaust were so brittle that I thought I could get away w/flushing it, but if it has been in you fella's experience a bad idea not to split the cases, I guess I will go that route. Any more input?
  12. Doing a new top end on a friends Blaster, Kerosene good to use to flush bottom end out?
  13. I would say start w/ checking your float height.
  14. Thanks guy's, problem solved.
  15. Ya know Loco, I may have to keep an eye on mine, I didn't notice it was loose untill I changed my sprocket. Maybe it loosened up right after I replaced my axle bearings .
  16. How much for the coolhead, and are the domes interchangeable w/pro-design and NOSS? Also can you use the stock studs?
  17. I second that, axle lock nut is way better, I can tighten all the play out of mine by hand, then just tighten your allen bolts to keep it in place and you are done.
  18. I will be there Memorial day weekend for sure. Trying to make it up this weekend also. I am lookong into buying a cabin and may meet the owner this weekend. I'll see you all there if everything goes well. Oh, and Ray, you'll have some demo pipes for me to check out Memorial weekend right!
  19. I was wondering what some of you guys might have purchased to avoid takeing swingarm off to replace stock chain roller(a-arm guard). Please mention where you got them. Thanks in advance.
  20. I've gotta agree w/ Rod. If you were positive of your jetting, then something got lodged in the main jet, or an airleak started somewheres to change that condition.
  21. More like water in your fuel. If you are going to ride trails w/water occasionally you would be better off to run airbox w/no lid. It gives you a sort of splash guard and there is not much of a performance difference between pods, and airbox w/no lid.
  22. You can try Grand River. Are in the Lansing area, I don't know for sure though.
  23. That's cool man. You can get one just about anywhere. If you pick up a dirtwheels mag, you will have all kinds to choose from. I don't have any specific examples for you, sorry.
  24. Stu, I love the "Christmas Speacial".
