  1. Podo's racing also makes one(don't know the number, but you can reach them on ebay). But as Dave suggested, you can't beat the price on Tyson's!
  2. Yeah, I am an Ohio native and have lived in Michigan since 86. My friends have hated me the last what....5 out of 6 yrs....... I love it.
  3. I did not see Dave at the Dunes, I believe he was at the track. It only rained for about 2 hours Saturday, the weekend was beautiful. I never listen to the weather man when it comes to the lakeshore. Tyson's YFZ actually ran all day w/minimal problems. Quite a few fast bikes, but not as many as last year. Was a great time though.
  4. Okay, I gotcha. You were w/your brother. It was pretty scarry watching the wreck and pulling the quad off the kid that was w/Sredrum(son, brother, not sure), but glad they were ok and back up and riding the next day.
  5. I was there. I think it was your buddy who had chain problems.. I raced him twice, but don't think I ever lined up next to you. Do you have anymore vids? None on PS as of yet either.
  6. I have seen an air leak make a cold cylinder before. It would actually start to fire once you got in the throttle a little. Did a leakdown test and did not hold any pressure. Found his leak where his blasted boost bottle plugged into the intakes. I have also seen them act like that because of TORS. This particular person had eliminated the TORS system and didn't do a very good job of taping the wires coming off the CDI for the TORS. Somehow they were touching something and just shutting the one cylinder down. Looked like he had spark as well. Just some food for thought!
  7. I realize this is a little old but thanks! Were you the one w/the Ohio State shirt on? If so that is a very nice YFZ as well, and runs very well I might add.
  8. I am running a drag ported 4-mill and am on the second season of my Tusk fibers. Regardless of what clutch you used, your bike should not have smoked em that quick. Are you running a stock spring, or something heavy duty?
  9. I run 22-11-8 69 rollout 9-paddle haulers w/6inch swinger, bike dynoed at 85 horse and I need more swinger. I am skyward every launch and as I am letting out of it to not land on my lid, slower bikes leave me in the dust. You are only running a +4, I agree w/firehead, 8 paddle b2b hauler(or sls if your guys sand is that clean). W/ a less rollout tire(20x10x10 for example) you will usually have to run more paddles to get the same bite.
  10. Have seen failing stator act that way before. Sometimes when one component in the electrical system goes, it takes others w/it. I would check all your grounds and connections of course, then look into swapping out stator/cdi w/known good ones.
  11. Correct. May want to check your ring end gap as an easy guage as to wether or not the piston and bore sizes are close. If you were actually looking at 70-80 lbs, your bike shouldn't even start. Out of the 5 compression guages I have purchased or recieved as gifts, one works correctly. If all 3 of the testers you have tried are cheapies, better try another.
  12. May want to think about the possibility of an air leak as well.
  13. Will be there Saturday to ride as well.
  14. See you guys there.
  15. Crank seal would not affect compression readings. Did you just buy new pistons to put in it, or did you have someone check your clearences and match the piston to the bore?
  16. The tranny oil will give you no indication of the condition of your pistons and crank.
  17. Looks like a buddy and myself will make it saturday morning. I have met JT before(red banshee w/fast stickers on cpi silencers) but noone else. I should be able to spot Dave's ride as well. I will catch up w/you guys as I live at the drag strip!
  18. It would be nice if Dave would contribute, but some of these posts are the wrong way to go about it. If you called me a faggot I wouldn't want to do business w/you or anyone else associated w/you(BansheeHQ becomes the associated party) In my opinion DMR is a good resource to have around here. I am asking because I don't know, are there rules in place about haveing to be a sponsor to sell things. Last I knew this wasn't Planet Sand and I have seen many others market their businesses wether full time or not on this website either before they were a sponsor or may have never even become a sponsor.
  19. Those do wear out after about a million shifts. The part that grabs the pegs on the shift star gets play in it and makes it harder to shift and can even cause extreme conditions as in your case, not shifting at all. The whole shift shaft assembly is like $35 from any oem parts dealer.
  20. 3rd. W/ that much timing and 20cc domes, you are definately detonating. Especially since you said you have plugs parting out. Like Dave said, it will not give you tell tail signs too much longer....
  21. You need to pull the jugs. It may not be a complete siesure but sounds like it is real tight in there. When you rock it back and forth, it will break it loose then catch again. I know it seems like it should stick in the same spot, but you never know exactly what is going on in there. I have seen a circlip come out and wreak some havic and act very similar to what you are saying. Since you already checked the clutch side out, that is about all thats left. If you don't see a problem in the top end, rotate that crank around w/ your hands and see if it is catching at all.
  22. Thanks Wes, that is what I was afraid of.
  23. Just recieved a nuetral down 1-5 duneable from WCR and there are no springs for the forks. Is this right? Seems like I have seen springs on most peoples setup. One thing I noticed that I haven't seen on others is a spring on the countershaft for the sliding gear. Maybe this is the new way of doing things? I just want to make sure before I assemble this thing. If anyone can get me an answer soon it would be great as I am going to the dunes next weekend!
  24. Happy B-day Jeff!
  25. I am curious as to why you would want to lower the duration w/added stroke?
