  1. you would now if the ball wasn't in there. you would of had to make a huge adjustment to the clutch cable. but if the ball isn't in your rod will get real hot and weld its self possibly. ive seen a rod weld to the ball before because the ball couldn't move freely.
  2. clean the carb you are having problems with. clean boath jets. shoot carb cleaner threw all holes and pull air mixture screw out and clean it. check how many turns the air screw is in on the other carb and make sure you put other carb air screw back in with the same amount of turns. also make sure after you put the bad carb back together check and make sure the slides are at the same height.
  3. when u say tors brain do u mean the little silver box with the blue wire if so thats the one to unplug. make sure none of your wire harnes isnt melted and exposed any were and check every connection. i really doubt your coil or cdi or stator went out just like that.
  4. Any Yamaha dealer can get them but like the last post they are realy pricey. not worth it.
  5. if only one cylinder fires when its at idle but they both fire at wide open throttle you have a clogged pielet jet. its the little little jet next to your main. o and i had that tors kit ounce also and i didnt use there adjust ment screws. i just adjusted them with the cable adjusters.
  6. I looked on ebay and i think i sall a h1 500 fly wheel and it didnt look any were near to a banshee flywheel. maybe it wasnt. any chance i could see a pic. And to the guy asking about getting it dynoed i would consider getting it done but its not going to done for a while.
  7. here are some pictures of the engine i am building http://s591.photobucket.com/albums/ss358/p...nt=P1010578.jpg
  8. O by the way there are some triple banshees out there; and the ones ive seen are either 2 cases mated up together or are $2000 billet crank cases. I dont feel like spending 2 grand or a lot of hours righting a program to hog one out.
  9. Ill see out about getting pictures for you guys tomorrow.
  10. I rather pay a few bucks than machine. machining takes time. i already have to make a kool head from scratch.
  11. I would agree on just finding a 3 point fly wheel. If any one knows of one that will mate up to a banshee crank would you please let me know.
  12. Does a stock banshee ignition fire both coils twice per revolution. i would think it does, for the fact you can swop coil boots and not chang the way the engine runs. is this the same with on other triple two stroke engines; do they fire 3 times for every revolution. if this is the case i could see adding and changing the slugs arond on the fly wheel and plugging in a triple coil set up.
  13. the crank i am going to build is going to be a three phase out of 2 stock cranks. I looked into using a ignition off a Polaris xlt 600 triple but im not sure if there fly wheel will mate on to a banshee crank shaft. And im only doing this one mild because i have a lot of spare stock parts and i wanted to see if i could do it. If it works out i will see about shelling out the money for a 10 mill crank and milling out a mono head at my work.
  14. My name is Kevin. And I just started working on my first triple cylinder banshee. All i have done so far is took 2 banshee cases and milled them to fit together, and also milled a left side cylinder to fit next to another left side cylinder.I am planning on keeping it stock stroke and stock cylinders with a nice top end port job ,cpi outer frame pipes and 35mm air strikers. I was wondering if anyone can point me out to a ignition set up i should use, and maybe some tips on how to go about building this engine. Thanks guys.
  15. ya i did all that. and i went to 196 and the top of the piston is no were near the exauhst port.
