what about supercharging the shee?
FireHead replied to streetshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
So here's the deal with "real time tuning": As far as leading technology goes, that stuff went out with the '80's. Anymore, on modern FIS units, the data rate is far to fast to real-time tune anything..........a trained human only has a memorized sensory perception of 1.5hz.....if you're on a dyno attempting to tune something as it's happening, you might as well just go back to using a carbureator as you just can't do it (an IRL ECM boogies along at 2.5ghz. This is another reason why you don't see everyone jumping on the FIS band wagon, not only do you need to know what your doing with the hardware, but you also have to know engine tuning basics, and how to use some other software............. While a Megasquirt system is sort of user friendly, and definitely low cost, it is also the sledgehammer and monkey wrench approuch to modern FIS systems......... -
what about supercharging the shee?

Here is an example of what I might get worked up about. The statement that a MoTec system is the same as a Megasquirt is very false or possibly just misleading............ The way I read that is that for your application, you can get buy doing the same thing with a Megasquirt as you could do with a MoTec, which is probably what you mean. However, if you take it as face value........it's just not true. There is absolutely no Megasquirt system that can do pilot injection or handle more than 5 injection events per cylinder with any amount of fidelity. Now many people don't even know why they would want to do that stuff, but if they were reading this thread for research, like I do on this forum for many things, then it would mislead them.......which is really why I ever said anything in the first place. -

I don't know man, when I lived in SoCal, I was paying $1700/month for a 925sq/ft apartment.............I made over $100k/ year and I was never going to be able to buy a house..........the west coast is messed up too. -

I assume there are different areas in which income differs greatly in New York, but I don't htink you can say that folks are better off financially just because they are out west. I have several friends who live in New York (two really) and they make way more than I do in a year, granted they spend their money differently than I do. I think that is probably the key difference here..........What do you think? :geek: -

Three things here: 1.) In 10 years I will be driving a spaceship from the Jetson's (maybe not). 2.) I bashed you because you were not stating facts. I am pretty sure what I stated was generally correct. 3.) Who do you think here has thousands of dollars invested in making you feel dumb here? :ermm: -
I run the same stuff for the coolant cross-over lines on my Twister big-block and my old triple. I am still running OEM for the regular hoses though. By the way, what is a radator.................and where can I buy one?

It's all fun and games until some pokes an eye out.......................or files a lawsuit.

Thanks for the feedback, I always appreciate that sort of thing when it comes from someone else who knows what they are talking about........ Clearly DSSA, has a good handle on things, and even better, he can post pictures of what he works with. I never seem to have many pictures to share as the current place I work and my previous employers strictly diallow cameras. -
I still haven't heard anything back from the guy........

That can also double a heat distribution fan for your fireplace when you're not using it on your bike. -
4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers sell a gauge cluster for that truck. In exchange for that info can I get you to update my signature picture with a picture from my engine program now that it's released for folks to see?

Do you have a picture of what you have? :geek:

Anybody looking for a Brand New Banshee
FireHead replied to theshee's topic in General Banshee Discussion
If anyone is interested, there are for '06 SE's sitting at Action Cycles in Gresham, OR waiting for a new home. I may buy one of them though just for the hell of it......... -

Here's my deal.............I wasn't ragging on anyone's project and I certainly think it's neat to see. SandDragon's 'Busa powered shee is awesome. I have seen it in person, and I think that it there isn't much else out there in this sport with that level of engineering and effort put in to it. Now, Turbobanshee on the other hand come off as being an ass, stating things that are not even kind of true, and not contributing anything to this forum...............Of course, I my verbal foot is going up his ass sideways. If anyone wants to have an intelligent discussion about anything, then I'm always down for that, I just have low tolerance for weirdo's passing stuff they made off as fact on the internet. -

Yeah, I have tried what your talking about. In fact, I might know a couple things about FIS. However, if you would like to bring one of your buddies over here to have a technical discussion about FIS, bring 'em on..........I bet I can make you and them look silly. Also, if you don't know which GM processor you are using.......................I am pretty sure you don't know much about what you are doing besides crimping some wires together and hoping that it works. -
I haven't been leaking while Blackberry'ing. It all about the Brick Breaker game on the Blackberry while chopping off the monkey tail............

PWR VS PRO DESIGN VS TOOMEY RADIATOR
FireHead replied to 89bansheemx's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Word. I coultdn't have said it better myself. Besides, look at the heat rejection numbers for aluminum vs. copper/brass (hint: copper/brass rejects heat better). -
I am using nothing right now.

You could buy a set of bare pipes from CPI and then send them to bk_banshee on here to be chromed. THe process is shockingly similar. I am not sure what the price difference might be, but it could cut some lead time out of it.
