  1. Everything about it, including the R model is up on the Yamaha website.
  2. I was doing that right now...............
  3. Two things: 1.) A slower burn of your fuel/air mixture doesn't always mean more power. 2.) Because of the nature of alcohol fuels, you can run a much higher A/F ratio which means a larger volume of BTU's can get into your combustion chamber, which is at a lower temp. than with gas, which is where the additional power potential comes from. :geek:
  4. Google it. In most population centers, there are places that sell e85 these days.
  5. I am more of a fan of Elka than I am of Works for the simple reason that Works's service is horrible. If you have a bunch of money to spend, then Elka is a better choice. If you don't have a bunch of money to spend, then having TCS rework your OEM rear shock is a better choice. If it were me doing several bikes all over again, then I would probably go with a TCS reworked OEM rear shock over the Works option. :geek:
  6. Word.
  7. I run Mikuni TMX's on my drag bike with alcohol as the fuel type. They do not require a fuel pump with my Pingel valve. :geek:
  8. Running E85 is similar to running any other alcohol fuel type. You have to have larger jets and your fuel range compared to gasoline will go down. On the positive side of things, it's cheaper and burns cooler, which allows you to get more pwer out of the engine......... :geek:
  9. Word. 35mm carbs are probably more suitable if you are duning the bike. The Cascade shift star and Shift Pro follower are good idea as well. :geek:
  10. The pins the caliper floats on are probably seized up (the caliper body moves independently of the steel backing plate). If you get your Clymer manual out, it will show you how to get at the pins and lube them.
  11. I didn't know you had quit whoring around..........
  12. Would anyone be interested in the frame ($1500) if I parted this thing out?
  13. I am a bit puzzled as to how the engine is managing to accellerate when the slides on the carbs are not moving up. I suppose it could be the throttle switch, but it actually sounds more like you have an aire leak on the intake tract some where. :geek:
  14. Clealry he wants something that actually works properly.............. like my bike. However, $8k isn't going to get the job done.........
  15. All tires are el soldo!
  16. exactly.......... :geek:
  17. Rear tire are el soldo! Front tires are sold, pending payment!
  18. Which adult shop did you get those from?
  19. I have been using the new Death Grips that you can buy from RMATV. They are the best grips I have used in a very long time.
  20. I am not sure if they got caught or not........ I think what is happening with alot of those guys is that they now have to provide CARB documentation with regard to the emission certification of the engine/vehicle inorder to have proper Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (the thing you have to have to register and title a vehicle). Of course, if you engine/vehicle is not already a known and approved configuration, then you have to pay an independant company to do the certification work, which is not cheap. :geek:
  21. I suspect you already have a alot of stuff that is pretty different..........
  22. Technically speaking with the EPA07 and CARB emissions regulations, most of the sand car guys in SoCAL that were not installing complete engine systems out of productions road cars were doing something illegal, but no one was really enforcing any of that until now............ :geek:
  23. Word. :geek:
