  1. There is supposed to be a bushing on the stud that the caliper mounting bracket that mounts to your axle carrier rides on in that picture.
  2. Via some scheduling Shenanigans at work, it appears that I actually won't be able to get down the until July 1st, unless they are open on Saturdays, which I don't think they are.
  3. I think Cascade can do it for you. :geek:
  4. ............unfotunately, there is no way I am going to get down there before next Thursday.
  5. Word. As a heads up (and a thread hi-jack) I am going to be rolling with our Summer Test through Denver the last week of July if you want to take a peak at some new Class 8 hardware that is atleast 5 years out of market. :geek:
  6. That's some great stuff you got there! Bump for a great guy!
  7. I'd be interested to see what that looked like. If no one can come up with a picture I will roll down the hill to their shop and see if I can come up with a picture or two.
  8. Something is spaced wrong or the caliper has seized on the pins it sounds like. Can you take a top down picture so I can see if you have a spacing issue or a caliper issue?
  9. Do you still get a reserve function out of that? Otherwise I am on the same page with KEV. :geek:
  10. An OEM caliper is a considered a floating caliper.
  11. Spline really isn't the correct term. I think sheaved is more appropriate. :geek:
  12. I think that is about right. The compression being even on both sides was the important part. :geek:
  13. Nah, I knew what you were talking about. Remember when your sadning thing first came up, I thought you were going after the slides with some 40 grit sand paper.
  14. This issue is that I don't think you can completely close off that hole without going way out of your way................. and like was said earlier, you get the same end result no matter which way that gizmo is in there.
  15. I realize the scotch pad to the slide thing may be a good idea in certain cases, but I don't think it carries over to the slide drain hole thing. I also realize that you and I probably are not going to agree on this one.
  16. If the cap on the carbs seal properly, then pressure inside the carb top is equal to pressure in the carb bore, in which case there can be no "piston effect" as you describe. That hole in the slide is actually a fluid drain to remove to allow condensate to escape. That slide sanding expedition you went on wasn't something I was real excited about either.............. Which pretty much ;eaves us at me asking you what you are smoking?
  17. Nope.
  18. It doesn't really matter as long as the tops are on the carbs.
  19. That kind of sucks. I missed that part in the rules.
  20. Word. :geek:
