  1. Interesting. I have never heard of it. You've got me curious now.
  2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=260099496161 That's a good looking bike to have as a project. If it was closer to me I would probably be interested in it (I don't know why, I don't need another project). :ermm:
  3. Thanks for the help so far Fred. I sent you another PM. For all the rest of you, here is a list of places that I am looking at renting. If anyone has any opinion about the area they are in or the place itself, let me know. I am trying to stay away from areas that have strip clubs, hooker, meth houses (or trailers), or people that are going have an overwhelming problem with my Harley or Banshee being started up everyonce in awhile. http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1006922 http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1007133 http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1007052 http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1006733 http://www.forrent.com/search/detail.asp?site=1006663 http://www.bethanyvillage.com/index.cfm?fu...&pageID=137 http://www.rent.com/rentals/oregon/portlan...dover/482391/2/
  4. The cost of the DMV stuff is no big deal. I just don't want to wait in a line at the DMV or atleast wait in the shortest line possible. If you have any reccomendations for such things around the Portland area, please let me know. From what I have seen there are alot more strip clubs in Portland than are just on the one street that you are talking about. I heard they were working on some legislation to control that a bit awhile back though. :ermm:
  5. RMATV interchanges the terms bearing and bushing quote frequently. Beyond that, if it is bearings for a works shock that is needed, especially an older one like the one that is pictured in this thread. You will need to call or email Works directly.
  6. I wasn't shooting them down, I was just checking to make sure everyone was playing on the same field. At the moment, if the Tusk units didn't work and Ricky Stator or Janssenn didn't have what he needed, I am not sure what he needs.
  7. Pro Design makes a great product. The quality is always there with them. Their stuff is more expensive than others most of the time, but whatever you buy from them will be right the first time. :geek:
  8. SoCal has not seemed to be a country music type of place from what I have seen so far. Can you post up a picture or a dimensions for the tie rod end you need? I'll come up with a place to buy it from and a part number for ya.
  9. Once again, are you confusing tie rod ends with heim joints? The Chassis Shop does actually sell both, but they don't have much of a selection of tie rod ends, but they have a huge selection of heim joints.
  10. The fenders are definitely an original idea and that is cool. I don't care for it much, but it's not my bike. I love the seat and I love the bumper and wheels.
  11. Picky no worky.
  12. I am assuming it means turning the bars all the way left or all the way right.
  13. RMATV
  14. Other than being foam on the sea, what is seafoam?
  15. Hey you got me. I grabbed the McMaster catalog off the shelf in my office and started looking through it for tie rod ends as soon as I read your post. It took me a little bit to catch on to what was going on. For a little bit there I thought every tie rod / ball joint information problems that I have ever had were soon to be over. Tie rod ends are one of the hardest parts to get dimensiions and specifications for. It's almost easier to make your own for applications that you only need a few ends for. :pinch:
  16. I like some of Craig Morgan's songs. Was it a good concert?
  17. In the midst of one of the other four threads on this exact same topic, I am pretty sure that I said the last time I was up at Yamaha R&D in Cypress, CA there was nothing like what was in the article there. I knew it was a practical joke from the beginning, but it almost seems like most people here bought in to it. Yamaha does have some new weirdo stuff for the snow machine crowd coming out and certainly some UTV stuff, but that's about the extent of what they are hacking away at Yamaha for release in the next couple years.
  18. The the power valves with hose coming off them draw a vacuum signal from the intake which operates the valves. If I read the original post correctly, he has been riding around with the valves fully closed. :ermm:
  19. ....................and I think we have reached a new level of disturbing conversation here on the HQ. :pinch:
  20. Did someone not say that the Mod Quad unit was made out of aluminum in this thread? If I had to choose to buy one based off that info, I would probably buy the ModQuad unit because I am a cheap bastard and I like to complain about stuff.
  21. You can go 5mm into a Pro Design head. I've seen me do it. The Cub cylinders are definitely the best bang for the buck deal on the market right now.
  22. Because I am apparently thinking at the speed of smell tonight, here is the following....................................have you tried switching out the Jedi Knights for a pair of Superman underpants. I hear they work better. :woot:
  23. You won't think the plastic impellers are bad until your bike starts overheating in the middle of the dunes during the day and you can't figure out why. I have had more of the OEM impellers disitegrate or melt than I care to think about.
  24. I have never seen bolts with their size printed on them. I am stopping at Ace Hardware on the way home tomorrow to see if I can find some. It should be good for a giggle or two at work. I would hope that anything advertised as a stainless fastener would not have more than a trace of aluminum in it. Iconel, Titanium, or some grades of 300M are good fastener materials if you are going for the functional, but also show qulaity look. Torwue to yield Iconel fasteners aren't as common as they used to be, I am not sure that would stop me from using an Iconel fastener as long as it wasn't marked as torque to yield. :geek: I personally am still a fan of the Boeing floor sweeping look. They might get a rust spot or two on them if they are made of steel, but they won't ever fail.
