  1. As an update, I will be leaving California this Sunday or Monday and arriving at my new place on Halsey St. in Portland, OR sometime there after. Plus, I get to pick up my new frame for my triple on the way. I know I asked the question before, but no one answered, what are you guys doing to meet the Oregon coastal noise regulations? Cascade silencers? Dave Moore silencers? I have CPI in-frames on my red bike, which is the first bike that will need to get sorted out.
  2. Word. If you can't find the time to smack your kids, I am sure you can just take them down to the local Walmart and have someone that is already there whipping their kids take some time whip your kid while they are at it.
  3. You could also hook a garden hose to the inlet to the water pump, turn on the water to the hose and you will have a constant loss, single pass cooling system. The only problem is that the length of hose limits how far away you are able to go fraom the faucet.
  4. I think that area of Idaho is more of a meth style place.
  5. You would probably need to see the bike in person before bidding as well as getting the VIN and running by the local police to see if it's stolen. Generally if someone is asking you to do something special to bid on an eBay auction you can be certain it is because they are looking to get around a legal responisibility, fees, or something else.
  6. If that will be the case, I may start watching Saturday morning cartoons. :ermm:
  7. That is a good question. Hopefully someone can answer it. :geek:
  8. In the spirit of adding some levity to this thread. Here is a link to a collection of clips from Jimmy Kimmel's Unnecessary Censorship segment. http://thetravisty.com/Unnecessary_Censorship.php
  9. Like I said before, start a thread stating your problems with the member. At the very minimum it ought to inspire others not to do business with the guy. Hopefully, someone else on the sight will know the guy and be able to encourage him to get things straightened out with you.
  10. Weird. I am not sure if I should venture the cash in trying out a kit from the new Alloyboltz guy?
  11. Would you think I would be at a disadvantage in the 1325cc and up class if I was on a Banshee style suspended frame? I would think that I should eventually be able to make as much power as a 18mm DM cylinder triple engine. My frame might not wind up being the greatest ever for a pure drag application. I guess my main concern is if a laydown trike with triple snowmobile engine is going to walk all over me no matter what I do? Are the showing on a given race weekend pretty small in the triple classes or are there alot of folks that show up with triples?
  12. I agree with you 100%. I don't think the bouncing boobs were any worse than what a kid might see on a television commercial these days. If they wer not covered by a bathing suit that would be a different matter. I don't have kids, but am certainly understanding of those that do.
  13. Is the assumption correct that all of the problems with Alloyboltz have been after Russ passed away? :ermm:
  14. I have a broom handle, some duct tape, and a plunger. I'll give you a great deal on it since the duct tape (ducted ape?) is the only thing that is chrome at the moment.
  15. Awesome is not a valid measurement of compression. What is the compression on each cylinder in punds per square inch? :ermm:
  16. I thin Locogato on here may have gotten ahold of a really bad Podos arm as well.
  17. Where exactly is the grinding noise coming from on the engine? There are a few things that can grind in the engine, such as a water pump, a bearing, a stator, gears, clutch push rod, etc. Do your head lights work? Are the bubbles in the oil out of the ordinary in one way or another. The gears moving through the oil will aerrate the oil fairly quickly. Do you notice any unusual amounts of smoke coming from the exhaust? Is there and coolant or water mixed in with your trans. oil? If you stick a pen magnet down into the oil fill port and all the way as far as it would reach, do you get alot of metal shavings stuck to it (some shavings are ok)?
  18. To use one of those kits safely you are better off if you have done some tube fitting and welding before.
  19. I think you might get a deal on the rvalving if you have it done all at once. It may be more expensive to have it done at a later date. I don't know that for sure, but I thought I should throw that out there.
  20. Sure this is true, but if the male and female thread forms and tolerances match you will absolutely never have a problem with the fasteners if you stay within a reasonable torque range for the size, grade, and thread form of the fastener. Anitseize is primarily used in applications where heat cycling exists or that the fastener is in an extremely corrosive environment. I suppose all that I just wrote is the long way of saying that I disagree with you.
  21. Two things to start out with: 1.) If you do a better job formatting your posts with capitalization, punctuation, spacing you will get better responses faster (I skipped over your post a couple time simply because I didn't want to read it). 2.) If you have to add gas in addition to what the crabs suplly you are lean for one reason or another. A 270 main jet is probably way too small for your application. This generally won't make the engine not start though. If you are that small on the main jet your pilot jet is probably also too small, which would make the bike not start and stay running on it's own. What kind of pipes do you have? Have you done a leak down test? That ought to give you a few things to check. Let us know what you find.
  22. Yeah, I'll send him a PM about it. My other option is to get one of the shop guys at work to look for it. I am afraid that I would have to look at alot of pictures of chicks with dicks on this particular search inorder to find the Ani-GIF I remember seeing. :yucky:
  23. Like I said before, TCS does fantastic work and they are very competitively priced. Just be careful when you're on the phone with them as they will try and sell you pretty much everything they make. IMO you just need a spring and collarss, but it they offer you a good deal on the spring, collars, and revalving, you maqy want to think about getting it all done at once. If they can put something together like that for you in the $300 range, you ought to do it.
  24. I would gues that it is a jetting, ignition, or mechanical engine problem that is giving you touble. Unless you notice the transmission oil being black and smelling funny, you clutch probably isn't thr primary culprit and your tires spinning would probably be obvious on pavement if that were the problem. Have you done a leak down test or a compression test on the engine?
