http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...103626578QQrdZ1 It appears that one of you is lucky and there is another set still up for grabs.

If you look in the suspension forum on this site, you will find a thread where I am asking some of the same questions. You may want to toss your question in there as well. I am working on coming up with a pretty simple Excel sheet that will calculate what a person might need for a swingarm within a given weight, torque, and coefficient of friction with the ground. My motivation for doing this is that pretty much everyone winds up having a different opinion about what you need and why. Most of it winds up being BS. There are people running around on here with stock pipes claiming that they have to have a +12" arm to keep the front end down (I had an arguement via PM's about it). :shoothead:

Oil from trans coming out of overflow tube
FireHead replied to bansheeboy02's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
That's what I was getting at when I mentioned the case gasket. I was just trying to describe it in 4 words or less. :geek: -
I went through the site and made *.pdf files out of all the info I was going to miss went it's gone. I liked all the pictures it had of the engine specifically. It definitely helped fill in some of the blanks left by my Clymer manual.

Since we're talking about spelling, you have label and nerfs spelled wrong in your signature as well. -
They don't come up to often, especially in good condition.

Oil from trans coming out of overflow tube

I have never heard of that before. Was there coolant in your oil as well? I forgot to mention a plugged breather line would do it as well. -
I didn't know we were talking about retards.

Let me know if what I said previously works. If it doesn't I will see if I can grow another idea for you.

It definitely dpends on your state. California would require an inspection at a state patrol facility and a metric ton of paperwork. Washington would require a state patrol inspection, but you only ever had to fill out one form (this is the same process for all non-commercial vehicles). I will be spending alot of time at the Oregon DMV this week, so I am sure I can figure out how it works there as well.

Where are y'all deploying to these days?

Oil from trans coming out of overflow tube
FireHead replied to bansheeboy02's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Four common things cause this: 1.)bad crankshaft seal. 2.)Leaking case gasket. 3.)Use of extremely heavy oil 4.) Overfilling the oil. -
I am going to be living on Halsey Street in the eastern part of Portland. I couldn't fin much of anything to rent with a garage near Swan island. I will have to get used to the commute down I84 in the morning. Which is the best DMV to go to? Does a DMV employee come and actually check your vehicle or is it just paperwork inside the office? What is the best emissions station to go to? That information will help me out a ton.

I went to school with one of the engineers that worked on the suspension for the Outlaw and the steering and suspension for the Predator. I am not sure how he got a job at Polaris, let alone kept it so far. I always figured he would be professionally unemployed or a used car salesman. I didn't feel safe within 100 yards of anything he worked on. :shoothead:

I think MEat just explained what was going on previously in this thread. I doubt it's a joke.

Are you asking me if I have black rims, IMS pegs, or IMS heal guards? Can you set the plastics and tank on your frame and take a picture of it to post on here? I am anxious to see what it actually looks like.

It's only only gay if you want it to be. (j/k) :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: I am not sure why I think that's so funny. There may be something wrong with me.

Is that a request for me to post pictures of all the things that I have painted black I hear?

Make sure you get the big print version. It's only a few more dollars and you can actually set it on a table and have it stay on the same page. Via your student SAE membership, you should get a pretty good discount if you buy the book from SAE. I think it's probably only around $90 after the discount. Also, don't buy the bundled version of the book that comes with the users guide. One of the guys that worked for me had one and the guide was pretty worthless if you had more than a couple of brain cells to rub together. I will also caution you that once you start shopping in the SAE online bookstore with your discount you might not be able to stop. You can even buy some textbooks on there depending, of course, on what the professors at your school are using. From the last two years of my BS degree all the way through my MS degree, I had developed a two book per month addiction (some of those books are really not cheap no matter who you buy them from). If you ever need a suggestion for an engineering book to read, let me know, I have many favorites that I would be happy to reccomend. :geek:

If you don't mind me asking, how much did that cost?

How about I start bidding on both sets just to aggrevate you guys? :yelrotflmao: (relax, I'm not going to do it)
