  1. I think it's a 2 way street of sorts. They certainly make graphics kits out of a vinyl that doesn't peel of gas tanks.
  2. That's all I probably should have said is that he ought to perform a leak down test before he throws parts at the problem. I sort of get the feeling that seals and crank bearings never were the problem here. :ermm:
  3. Do you have a link where one might go to buy such things? I looked at the Hiper website the other day and did not see anything.
  4. I posted that up in the eBay forum on this site a couple days ago.
  5. That's all pretty strange. The kit that I got was nothing like you are describing. Other than the footpeg boltsn ot being there (which is sort of understandable), all of the bolts that I have needed so far have been there. All the bolts I got were graded, hand polished stainless steel fasteners. I can see that there is a trend with this kit that involved using a different thread pitch on a fastener if the kit also supplies the the female threaded portion of the particular fastener system. I cna't blame someone for doing that as it makes thing easier and cheaper (I do the same thing myself). What I don't understand is how my kit is so completely different than yours and several other people's on here.
  6. That sounds about right. I think I should have been a bit more clear in my previous poost in this thread by stating that the oil condition that is being talked about most likely comes from your clutch.
  7. I figured it was good information for those folks that might be afraid to ask about such things on here.
  8. http://www.wikihow.com/Read-a-Screw-Thread-Callout The above should be required reading for anyone with a metric bike or who is unfamiliar with thread details.
  9. I got the stuff they sent me for free yeaterday. They weren't lying about the fast shipping. Just in case it didn't come across clearly previously in this post, I am very impressed with their customer service. Their product is awesome as well.
  10. I see that you are also smarter than the average bear.
  11. This may just be one of those situations where someone has an inny instead of an outy? :ermm:
  12. I am not ending the auction early. I was told it was off a 2002 when I bought it. It's in great condition.
  13. It won't peel of if they use the proper vinyl. The Nastycar boy spill fuel all over their cars and you don't see the vinyl comin off do you? :ermm:
  14. Have you check the seal surfaces of the crank with a micrometer to see if they are worn? What is the run-out you were experiencing that caused you to replace the crank bearing in the first place?
  15. It's your clutch.
  16. I am going to buy gas on the 14th and beat the rush coming on the 16th. I am smarter than the average bear though.
  17. Haha.........the bolts in the kit I got did look like the eBay pictures.
  18. That sucks. That was awful nice of you to take a day off so they could come get it though.
  19. I am not sure if 35mm carbs are the best choice for his engine.
  20. To be clear, I have had more good luck than bad with bored carbs. I am sorry if I was misleading with my previous post. I actually had a set of carbs that were bored to 30mm in the bore and for a 28mm slide. I did all the work myself. Where is LRD in Portland?
  21. Maybe you could email them to someone else on here and have them post them up for you.
  22. The Fastenerguy must have been going through some changed as I would argure that most of the hardware I recieved in the kit could pass for show quality and the bolt lenghts that I have used so far have been right on the money.
  23. I don't have the bolts in front of me to take a picture of this morning, but I got them from here http://www.tacomascrew.com/ .
  24. I don't even know what Snapfish is.
