ive got some old ass coilovers im going to put on my go kart, simple enough. the spring rate is nearly perfect for the leverage ratios and desired travel. but the valving is horendous, in fact its got no rebound damping, compression only.
to the point: if i drill a small hole in shock body to drain the oil (they arent servicable) then it will have no damping characteristics whatsoever, right? cause if this is true im gonna get some cool ass shocks to run for the vavling duties. kinda like when sand cars run a coil carrier and a bypass, just not that sophisticated. does that make sense?
