  1. last time I rode alone I broke my pelvis. and had to lift the shee into my truck alone. I soo wish I didnt go riding that day ALONE. also...that quad only event is coming to LV in Oct. U going to be in it? I plan on racing it. So...if so....see ya there. I have a race on sun that weekend too. I will be there in NV for the race on Sat...and back in rancho for a race on Sun. We will see how it goes. But I want to hit that BITD race this year. its going to be the largest ATV sponsored event on the west coast....you wait and see.
  2. I OWN I OWN ... so off to work I go. Here is a pic of me racin it in my sig. LONG LIVE THE SHEE!
  3. If you do get it back....who is to say that you wont bend it again real soon. something about the metal weakening as your tweakin on it. IMO.....stock axles only cost 50 bux on ebay. Go get another one. I went thru three stock axles before I went and got a LS axle used off ebay for 250. havent bent it yet. and if I do....LS will bend it back for me.
  4. Its gonna look really sweet as soon as those big elephant ears are cut off. Id think the only thing you have to pay in the US is taxes. if its 7000. your going to pay 500 or so in taxes to register it in the states.
  5. BEL-RAY synthetic pre-mix. 32:1. I order it by the case. I went and got sponsored by them cuz I love their products soo much. my mechanic tells me not to change a thing....I DONT.
  6. BEL RAY 80 weight. Best bang for the buck. I tried motul sythetic and my clutch started slipping. the stuff worked too good. LOL>>why are you guys using Honda oil in your Yamaha's. Didnt your daddy's beat the shit out of you enough. Think Bel-Ray.
  7. Ive been using Tag's grips for the past few months. have heard great reviews about the spyder's tho. keep hearing that water makes them slick. not good IMO. the banshee rips the bars out of my hands enough. hate to worry about rain. that would sux. renthal's and tag's for me. IMO they work great and last long time.
  8. even if it is only 10 degrees....it all adds up. the impellar alone isnt enough...the oversized radiator alone isnt enough. put it all together with ENGINE ICE coolant and you should never have a problem. thats the idea. with the NOSS you get interchangable domes...and imploved cooling. Plus they come in different colors and are BLING BLING.
  9. come on....not all UPP is crap. maybe the manifolds....but thier chain kit is the shit. I replaced my stockies with UPP 5 yrs ago...and I am just now considering replacing the rollers. the upper and lower slides are still imaculant. plus they come in all colors. lol. upp rules IMO. just stay away from the manifolds sounds like....EL Oh EL.
  10. :baseball_bat: thread robbers....lol back to the topic..... I believe you need 110 or higher if you have 140 psi per cylinder. you should only have a 10% difference between cylinders. need a rebuild if it gets around 90 psi. I did my top end when I hit 90 psi, and my rings were 1/10th out. meaning if I had replaced my rings around 110 psi i might no have needed a bore. anyway....I bought my compression tester at the AuTo ZoNe. think it was 20 bux. and I have used it a bunch...so good purchase IMO. Also, I heard on here that you want a tester that has approximately the same size as your plug. being that its drops into the cylinder the same amount as your plug. this will give you a better reading. mine isnt...but I think the readings are close enough for whats its worth. good luck
  11. SIMPLE GREEN. spray it on .... spray it off. wd40 when your done. cleans and shines....and the wd keeps off the mud. works great. if the scratches is what your looking to git rid of ... PC renew will work...if they are just dull....do as above.
  12. ALL I know is that none of them hold up like stock. why is that. cept for fullbores they all fade and seem to be more brital. more seseptable to stress marks and cracks. what up with that? Id get a good set of used stockies.
  13. i would concentrate on that shift adjuster right next to the clutch. i have problems with mine all the time. suxorz. havnet had the problem your discribing. heck...didnt know the shee had shifting problems with high ponies. hmmmm.
  14. I have the Trail Tech Endurance 12 point computer. I love it. U cant use it while riding....but then again ...I really dont want to look down at 75 - 80 miles an hour. I use it for Ride Time and max speed. the clock is cool too. lets me know when I need to get back to camp. also ... i bought mine when i did my top end. I know exactly the amount of miles and hours I have put on it. LOVE IT! Not to mention it looks cool and no-one ever knows what it is. LOL....what is that? LOL. the vapor looks great....i dont know that I will get it though. Mine works just fine. Had a problem with my install tho. I didnt have the magnet and the receptor close enough. I wasnt getting an accurate readout and it was because I needed it a cunt hair closer to the receptor. bent the dust cover you attached it too and it worked great. still works great 2 yrs later.
  15. Dont you love riding? That is some nice clearance. I run desert races so the more clearance the better. I have +2+1 LS with TCS dual rates and my clearance is 12". And I thought that was alot. lol. I even went to 22's in the rear and 23's in the front to raise it up even more. Sorry for your loss. We here on the shee site can feel your pain. Glad to hear your ok tho. This thread now needs to be in the rides of shame forum. Ouch. Good to hear you can afford the new parts. I usually cant afford shit after I get new stuff. Have fun riding. One of my buddies bought brand new AC nerfs with heal kicks. put them on and went riding. bout an hour into the ride he hit a pole hiding off the trail behind a bush. he never saw it coming. It sheared off his right a-arm, shock, and bent a big ding...pole size in the nerf bar. If it wasnt for that nerf bar it would have taken off his leg. I swear it saved his life.
  16. LMAO...what the hell is a flatbiller?
  17. Right on Bro....I just turned 33 too. I only feel old when I get up in the morning....or bend over. hahaha good thing about getting older....the sex keeps getting better and better. Congrats on makin it this far....lots of peeps dont. im hoping to be riding the shee at 90. No meds eh NYUK. My sister is like that ... she has has soooo many of them in her...she is now allergic to them. so know she smokes the green and drinks the spirits. Hope that works for you too. no sense in being in totaly pain.
  18. test hehehe....just added a pic to the bottom. i did the photobucket thing like discribed above....but why is mine sooo small? How do I make it bigger?
  19. Good rant dad. Glad to hear the boy is ok. 13yr old on a banshee....must have some skills or he probably wouldnt be on the banshee. I can only hope my kids wont be as reckless as I was as a kid. My parents spent WAY TOO many nights in the emergency room.
  20. naaa....its 1 on the front is equal to 2 on the back. Im running 14-41 with 22" Maxxis II's for recreation, and 15-41 with the 22's for desert racing. I back down to 13-41 with 20" ITP sandstar's for the dunes, and use 20" shredders or holeshots with 14-41 for MX. I live in Nor Cal so I need the 22" tires for clearance. Otherwise I would run 20" all the time. Id like to try some 18" rears for MX and keep the 14-41. although I could probably go to 15-41 with 18's on and keep my speed up. ALso.....do a search on here for banshee ben's gearing calculator. its an excel chart that really helped me see the changes in speed. and alowed me to understand gearing a little better.
  21. I would say save and get the shocks. Although...I wouldnt buy elka's....being that Im TCS sponsored im kinda one sided on suspension. TCS has been...for me one of my better purchases. but then again...I like the small shop mentality you get with TCS...versus big name brand no support like elka. Plus...not that Im racist or anything...cuz Im not....but they are canadian. And I like stuff that says MADE IN THE USA! anyway...back to the topic. Shocks first...because banshee stock suspension SUX, and you will just beat your stabilizer to death on stock suspension.
  22. She didnt mean to bite you man. she was just playin ... playin rough no less. I was bit by a German Shepard bout a month ago. I was at my best friends house, and took his streetbike for a spin. On the way out the driveway his german shepard started barkin and started to come after me. I didnt think anything of it and just gassed it. well he sniped my leg....right at the knee. I guess he doesnt like bikes, and he is usually tied up when engine's are running. three stitches later I was done with it. but damn it hurt. the dog was biting at the bike...not me...no sense in teachin the dog something that was and accident. but ... i wonder....now that he has tasted blood, will he want more? we will see....
  23. Now wait just a minute...compared to nothing ... denton or any dampner would work. And work good. Hell, it will take alot of pressure off your whole body. What blue is saying is that your money is better spent when purchasing a more expensive dampner/stabalizer, in the LONG RUN. I just saved up the cash. I had 200 cash for a dampner...and decided to save more and get the better product. I do know that the pro's run precisions...and they wont advertise them because precision wont sponsor them. give them up for free basically. Id admire that in a company. specially when pro's would rather spend the money....than get a DENTON for free.
  24. took 2nd in the main. 3 heats ... 5 laps. Check this sheet out. I hit the triple on the last lap and bounced my head off my bars. and when I did that .... it poped off my safety kill tether. bike came to a hault and I lost the win. SUX. but I still got it together before 3rd came by. lol. no pics. my pit crew was drunk and the wife had the kids. LOL. I had a camera and digital video camera there too. damn it damn it. Every time I give someone a camera to take pics they either forget ... or get drunk. LMAO. It would have been a good race for pics too. The doubles were set at 28ft and the triple was set to 35ft. no table tops on the track. it was crazy....made for bikes....not quads....the whoop section tried to throw me over the bars probably 6 times. I have bruises on both legs from my bars to prove it. LOL. MX is tough man. I am more of a XC-Desert man. but props go out to you MX'rs. I just do it for fun....but damn...thats alot of work for 15 laps of fun. I am trying to get hold of some other peeps that were out there takin pics. we will see.
