Runs without the sparkplug wires!
No Limit Powersports replied to Silentsoul's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Its sounds like a lean stick but first things first. Check to make sure that you slides are bottoming out when you let off the throttle. The tors are setup to save you in a broken cable or stuck slide situation where the throttle is not open and the tops of the carbs are. Check all your connections around the carb boots and reeds, you have a air leak somewhere causing the lean condition I would bet. If you cant find it do a leak down you will find it then for sure. One thing is for sure if you keep riding it you will be rebuilding it if its lean! -
Having the crank trued and welded is a good idea regardless of mods. Cranking compression around 150 would be my max at no added timing for a general rider. You can push it farther but you would be close to the edge.

My only thinking was maybe if you everybody added to the end we we kinda of know who is running what but then again not everybody i added is even on here lol . Maybe some screen names with the bike would help. I know alot of the bikes already but some of them i dont and would like to be able to know whos got what.

The slide would def have to be machined different because of the thickness of the plating. Chrome would probably be .01-.02 thick i would imagine. Dennis told me not to long ago that lectrons were manufactured in Texas. As far as your setup take some pictures of your needle and seat/float setup those pictures are really tough to see anything.

You might take a look at Stellar as well top notch stuff and a sponsor to boot!

Ive been telling Dennis for over a year to push lectron to chrome plate the slides! They would last longer and operate sooo much smoother like a pwk. Some of my customers that arent good at purging on a regular basis have problems with the slides sticking from the alky gum, i just feel chrome would almost eliminate those problems problem.

You will have to change out your needle and seat for a pump.

The tors system has a rev limiter built into it that is how it limits the motor when the tors is activated. This is why simply unhooking the tors control box will fix a limited motor from a faulty tors which is very common. The only way to 100% guarantee a grounded out motor is to ground the coil directly. In case of a CDI failure the motor could possibly not shut down with simply grounding out the wire threw the cdi. That is why we always ground out the coil to guarantee a good kill. I know what the instructions say that come with the kill switches but we have installed hundreds of tethers this way and not one cdi failure.

There are different grades of 3bond. 1211 is what we use on everything and its pretty amazing stuff. Yamabond is good stuff as well just prefer the 3bond.

NEW DRAG BANSHEE! few questions
No Limit Powersports replied to MacRacer1's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Its funny how the cubs have the 421 imprinted in everyones minds so much with a 4mm lol. A 7mm stock cylinder in a 66.25 bore is a 420 as well. That used to be a fairly common build. If thats what you got. Guessing horsepower on a motor is like saying ive got a car how fast is it and nothing else. It could be 40hp or 100hp its wide open depending on a million other variables. Suspension setup is relative to the traction available to you via the terrain, tire, bike hieght, your weight, shocks ect ect... so another wide open question. Typically as a very vague answer a 90 hp bike will need around a 8-10" swingarm on sand with a good paddle combo. Now put geckos on it and you could run stock lol (see what i mean). -
The tors system has a rev limiter built in to it. Other than that its just the capability of the motor and pipe. To un hook the key hook the red/black wire to ground. To un-hook the kill switch just unplug it. The way we wire up all of our tethers is one wire to ground one to the hot side of the coil. This will effectively ground out the coil when it is pulled.

Honestly i think they could have stopped that fight, lesnar wasnt doing anything but getting punched in the face. I have seen them stop fights for alot less. Carwin just got all pumped up because the he was about to stop it and punched himself out. I still doubt his next few fights will test him because who in the hw division is he going to fight and not knock out in the first round he is a straight beast. I cant wait for the rematch.

People forget what's important, why we have new heads in the first place, dome design. Dome design is one of the single most important part of your motor and should be left up to your builder not pro design, modquad ect... All the manufactures have a decent design for a stock motor but they are all cookie cutter. Do it right and have a dome cut by your builder for whatever head he uses.

Anybody that has tried to purchase something on the site the last few days will have realized we were having some technical difficulties. Sorry about the inconvenience, everything should be back up and running now. If there is anything on the site that you do not see and you would like me to add just feel free to ask it just takes so long to get everything on there. www.duneracing.com Andy PS. Keep you eye out for some big changes in the near future. Also keep an eye on the sale section as there are some big sales coming fyi!

We all went to extreme world a couple of times and it was very unorganized and only bracket racing. We tried to tell him we wanted some heads up racing and he would just tell us this is heads up just heads up with ET. I tried to tell him if we aren't starting at the same time its bracket racing and nobody wants to do that. On top of that we set there for almost 4 hours waiting on it to start, dialed in like 4 times, it was ridiculous, so i doubt we go back. The local track will be alot like the Marr's place was just test and tune maybe with some organized races every once in a while. Probably will be just arms drop maybe even a go light but i doubt a et, or even win light, at least at first. I be sure and let everybody know when he is going to let us come out a tear it up.

Lonnie at sandtrax is the old dog around here when it comes to dynoing. Fastrax has a dynostar i believe which is a foreign built machine, not that its bad just not the standard american built machines. Ours is a land and sea Sandtrax is dynojet.
-
I think that Sandtrax's dyno is a very fair dyno in the industry. He has had a dyno longer than any of us in the area. When we bought our dyno we tested a bike on Sandtrax's dyno then on ours to get a good comparison so I think testing on that dyno jet is more than fair. One of my customers is building another track right here in nowata. Since the last one shut down there just isnt anywhere for anybody to race. The track will not have timers at least to start it will be a similar setup to what the marrs's had at there track. The dyno jet shows the correction right at the top of the page the gas runs were 1.04 and the alky were 1.06 or basically adding 4% and 6%
