  1. On the flip side "they" say the most common cause of suspected electrical issues is bad jetting. If the needle is lean in the midrange or part throttle you can sand it at the very top. We have done that to help with the lean hang on alky. It still does it if the air is good though, but runs great at the expense of more wear. This is on drag motors, may not apply as much to an every day rider.
  2. If those are SB, what are the ones with the CPI logo on them that are smaller? I always called the ones like yours BB, and they seem better to me than the other style.
  3. Oh. And that pilot seems too small to me if you're anywhere close to sea level.
  4. Do you clean it out before you attempt a launch? Still didn't mention what size the dumps are drilled to. Just because you drill the mains doesn't mean the dump is gonna flow the right amount. If you got a 0.120" dump and a 0.125" main, that's still basically a 0.120" main. If you have a huge dump tube, a smaller main isn't going to help a lot at part throttle.
  5. Could be lean or rich either one. Alky or gas? Specs on carbs?
  6. 2nd is oem
  7. Balancing is overrated.
  8. No problem. I sometimes put bearing locktite on them, but it's fine.
  9. 2 stroke oil on pistons and rod, crank bearings. Moly grease on seals. 1211 or your choice of non drying silicone on cases.
  10. Of course it's not real. Kinda looks like Deadman chassis seat to me. Good product. GLWS.
  11. Lectrons FTFMFW!! In alky any way.
  12. That would be a needle issue. I never tried to tune that out. I just down shift and get it on the pipe every once In a while running at part throttle. Or clutch it and a wot burst to clean it out. Mine is stock carbs though.
  13. Yea, those domes don't look right for 573 series pistons. All of mine look more like this, minus the bashing from porcelain.
  14. If it detonated at 0.062", the squish wasn't the problem. It was probably the pump gas.
  15. Brian, are you gonna still try to run a rev box (I'm sure you know you can buy a standalone unit), and are you possibly gonna try an MSD, which I believe K&T runs on some of theirs? I find it hard to believe that a good dyna with a decent curve could hurt performance?? I'm coming around to the rev box and clutch working together after reading about it with how cars use it, though I probably will not use it because the dirt is not at all consistent.
  16. Some stock cases will a hold a 7 mil, so Ive read.
  17. Site sponsor or carb parts.com Didn't click the cascade link but they're stuff is usually $$$. Carb parts guys answer the phone and are knowledgeable last i dealt with them a while ago.
  18. Not needed
  19. Has anyone had problems with the reeds hitting the intake on those? That's a lot shorter tract than the "old" ones.
  20. Drag only. Doubt you'd notice any difference riding.
  21. Unless I'm doing math wrong (and I may be, been a very long time since calculus, much less basic trig), you'll have 2.4 ccs less in the dome assuming a 64 mm bore.
