  1. If you swapped wires and the problem stayed on the right side it's not electrical.
  2. The track was good. We only made tire pressure or tire change adjustments. No clutch changes for us. Air was bad. My gauge showed 88 - 90 % at best. It was hot.
  3. I don't think anyone has many videos. I took a lot at the MI race but they ran so slow on photobucket so I didn't bother there. Next stop is Sheltons in KY which is now a pretty fast track. Drag racers come on out to the race. It's gonna be a good event. You don't have to run those numbers to win. You never know what's gonna happen at the tree, or if a bike will bog, break, etc. check out the passes from the Leerjak race. http://www.nationalsanddragnews.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=738%3Apsda-rumble-at-the-ranch-race-results&catid=14%3Afeatures&Itemid=42 Click on the links inside the link to see.
  4. They have lots more port time area and bigger transfers. Basically better off the shelf than having your stockers ported. Just depend on how much $$ you want to spend. There are other mods you need if you go either route.

  6. Stock carbs would be better on that motor or even mildly ported motor IMO.
  7. I have seen stock carbs have a mysterious problem. Swap carbs and run a hose to connect the choke tubes and see if the problem follows the carbs. It can't be anything major if you've done everything described.
  8. Also a hole in the piston would not negate a leak down test, if I read your post right. A leak down and compression test are totally different.
  9. ^^ that and check pickup coil gap and actual leek down test.
  10. That can get clogged up, but yea it usually goes right through. I had it pool up on my billet cases on the bench the other day, and made me think of it as I was cleaning around the clutch arm.
  11. Rob seems easy going enough to me. I think his problem at MI was transmission related. His chassis has a swingarm, which makes it a hybrid at best.
  12. Is the seal around the clutch actuator in place? You could have fuel pool on the cases and enter there I'd think.
  13. No argument there.
  14. Menz ran a 3.58. I don't know that Rob got within a 10th of that.
  15. Blue locktite on the crank will help the flywheel issue.
  16. I think around $65 for aluminum and lightened.
  17. Rebel Gears. I have ordered over 30 sprockets from them with no issues. Usually get them in 2 or 3 days max.
  18. What bore? I think mine was originally 72 or 72.5. Louie said he only made a couple like that. Bought mine used from Nevada.
  19. I'm confused because the pistons won't normally come through the bottom of the top case half. I never hesitate to split it with the top end still on. But the pistons stay in the cylinders.
  20. In my experience you need the needles to be zingy on the Lectrons to get it to launch. Use the pjs to add the fuel after it gets off the needle. This is for drag racing. If you're just riding around with a lean needle it's gonna get HOT. All of mine have a lean spot on the needle with the Lectrons. .
  21. Sounds like the springs are coil binding. Did you change springs? Are they Raptor springs?
  22. I have the same motor. 3.54 in 300 ft.
  23. You can try a magnet and might get lucky. If the ball won't come out you have to split the cases and pull the tranny shaft out. Sometimes it won't come out at all. And you have to buy a new tranny shaft.
  24. Shouldn't need a spacer plate for stock stroke crank. You use pistons with a different pin location.
  25. Then you'll have to cut on the star so you don't have 2 neutrals.
