  1. Stuck float AND bad crank seal are about the only way I see that happening.
  2. Very easy to make a 1 - 5 into a 2 - 5.
  3. Yea, Trey did a good job at the tree. Saved that win. Bike didn't go into 5th gear that pass.
  4. If anything is impressive in that its Menz running 3.58 on a 421 with him riding. He's lightweight but not a jockey.
  5. Oh, and they borrowed my tires to run the pass. I have a feeling others there were also trying to copy our tires. Hint: we don't run those massive flat paddles. The Scimitar ran a 3.40 with 1.20 60 ft. outta the trailer then we did some (de) tuning and slowed it down and may have had some other issues. Made some changes and Last pass it ran 1.18 60 ft, but 3rd gear broke. That would've been a mid 3.3 pass no doubt Menz ran a 3.58 on a 4 mil Cub, but never saw the 3.5s again and couldn't back it up. He still got a record in the mid to upper 3.6s. RDZ had some good passes and some mid 1.2 60 ft on his stock cylinder under 425 cc bike. He ran some low 3.7s if I recall. My passion 10 mil Cub ran 3.71. Which would be a record but we didn't get a fuel check for the previous 3.77 pass that would have backed up that record. (Never got to try the sniper pipes, it rained out Sunday).
  6. Oh, and it was the first time at the track for their chassis and motor.
  7. If anyone cares, Precision Powersports stock chassis 650 cc bike went 3,57 at Leerjak at the Prosanddrags race. It also went a 3.58, so it wasn't a fluke. They don't have any nuthuggers on here besides me, so climb on up. My record 650 cc bike was built by them also and we reset the record at 3.54. FWIW. Carry on.
  8. Would need to add 1st gear for asphalt though.
  9. I already have a complete motor and pipes. Turn key. PM if interested. I didn't click the link.
  10. I tried that once, but the weight of the pipe would pull tha carb out if the boot. Other than that, I'm not sure it hurt anything.
  11. You'll need to know how much compression it has. Folks will say that you even need to know compression ratio, but if its a stock cylinder non drag ported motor I think you can go by psi. Do a search on compression testing if you haven't.
  12. You'll probably need to post pics. Tapatalk makes it real easy if they are on your phone.
  13. I may take my chances. I have 2 units I can run off of the generator. As for HMFIC you're probably right. Those Dodges sound like they should have a PTO out back anyway, lol.
  14. SNOP! Please get on all of these 2 into 1 threads and help those poor bastards!!
  15. Take a pic of your slides from the air box side of your carbs. Which side is cutting out?
  16. But does the Oreillys stuff fix leaks like it claims? I bought some for my Motorhome but haven't used it yet. Ac units work good, but not the dash ac. Had it recharged and wasn't long before it was not as cool.
  17. That's a high revving motor. You may be geared a little high for second gear. But it should still roast those 10 pdls.
  18. I think its a #31 index bit if this chart is correct. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drill_bit_sizes#Metric_drill_bit_sizes
  19. That might be ok on the dumps. YOu may have to drill out the power jets to feed it on the big end though. I think I ran 0.120" with 41 mm PWKs on mine. I run Lectrons on the motor I'm running now.
  20. I stole this from somewhere and it's stores in my phone. Electrical xt, here are some electrical specifications for an '87 and up Banshee: Stator resistance: Ignition coil should be 13.7-20.5 Ohms (red to green wire) Pickup coil should be 94-140 Ohms (white/red to white/green wire) Lighting coil should be 0.26-0.38 Ohms (black to yellow wire) Coil resistance: Primary coil should be 0.28-0.38 Ohms Secondary coil should be 4,700-7,100 Ohms Pickup coil gap: 0.015"-0.020" Spark plug: NGK BR8ES
  21. Maybe a leaky head? Water will bead up on plugs if so.
  22. Stock carbs can work good for that.
  23. Leak down test. Probably intake gasket or cracked boot. Worse case crank seal. Or carb out of sync. Check that first.
  24. That shit usually eats aluminum. I've ruined domes with that.
