  1. I thought you meant the gap between the lockup arms and the pressure plate, not how far the plate is out when the clutch is engaged. I don't mess with this much, lol.
  2. WtF. If I'm at the track and have a suspected ignition issue I change CDI, Coil, and stator until I find (or don't find) the culprit. If I have 3 of each in my trailer that's an easy way to trouble shoot. I don't really know what this thread is about.
  3. If they tune with bungs it's probably EGT sensors. Many don't mess with A/F ratio. You can tell by the curve on back to back pulls if it's overall fat or lean.
  4. ^^^ I have never seen a turbo bike make 2 or 3 clean passes in a row. Sometimes in a whole weekend. 4 strokes included. Like QP said, when they do go, they are fast. I've never had one but always wondered what changes (or what the tuner changes) pass to pass. K&T was always looking at something on their Raptor when they would decide if it was gonna make a pass or not in the pre stage.
  5. We won't make it. We don't run nitrous anyway, and they run LOTS of it on their twins. Not sure about the triples.
  6. Use the metal composite gasket and yamabond. Also, if the cylinders are ported that big and you don't trim the base gasket that small, it's a waste anyway.
  7. Have you pulled the clutch cover? If it was backfiring and kicking back it could just be that you broke the kicker gear, or that it is wedged against the basket. I think you're overthinking this.
  8. Well, normally you dial in the main first BUT the pilot will affect the fuel delivery at WOT too.
  9. Maybe look at the floats, sounds like it maybe running out of fuel.
  10. That's what I'm talking about!! Snhomos are gay. They can't cut a light and sound like.... Der dur dur dur dur brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ddur dur dur dur. They are fast and low maintenance though. Hell Patrick (Outlaw sand drags) leaves his out in the rain all year and hops on it and runs 30s on the bottle.
  11. Try 60 pilots
  12. I was just figuring something came loose on the stator or clutch side since I assume he didn't actually ride it. Good point.
  13. You have to drain the water and oil.
  14. Although that slip is not likely legit(???); we run those times at that mph with a mid to high 1.2 60ft; so it is still odd.
  15. Surely you mean 8 GB unless you're trying to be funny.
  16. I've seen so many alky motors (not mine) lean hang for a long time to the point you think they're gonna explode and not have damage. This was with Nicasil plated cylinders though. They didn't know to hold the throttle wide open to kill it.
  17. Glad some slips got posted. I hope you find some of those 60s Nick. Getting faster every time y'all run.
  18. Windows XP Pro FTW. Too bad Microsoft doesn't support it anymore.
  19. I would do 1, then 3 if it where me. If I understood right, it was running fine before the TORS disconnect, then you fired it up and it was backfiring (but didn't ride it). You're not usually gonna do much damage to a motor if it was just idling or revving in neutral (UNLESS, as Starwriter mentioned, you put straight gas in it). The timing plate could have come loose (which would cause the backfire), or something on the clutch side.
  20. What is the green bike? Arlos triple? They bought PPS triple also.
  21. Nothing else you can do besides tear it apart and TRY to get the ball and rod out. Sometimes they won't come loose.
  22. You can use fine sandpaper or a scotch brite pad. You can do a search in the leak down test.
  23. Or you can go with a new dome. That's your call. They can be safely run if you get the burrs cleaned up.
