  1. Hmmmm. I don't know. And I don't exactly remember the specs on the motor I worked on that had the wrong pistons. I do know it sounded exactly like OPs though.
  2. 513M06500 is the piston you need. If it says 795M06500 it is for long rod.
  3. This might not be your problem but "wiseco 65 mm pistons" doesn't help answer my question. You might have long rod pistons in it by accident. Do you know what I mean by this? What are the numbers on top of the pistons or on the box?
  4. Is it running on both cylinders? Like I said before, I've seen this when the wrong pin height pistons are used. Do you still have the piston box or receipt? Did you hone the cylinders? This is stock stroke, stock rod?
  5. What carbs do you have now? Any carb will get the job done. PWKs are plentiful and relatively inexpensive. Lectrons are more expensive and take more effort to get them close, but much easier to make tiny adjustments once you get them close.
  6. What series pistons are in it? I have seen that with the long rod 573 series pistons put on short rods. What is the squish?
  7. Bought my first one with backward slides too. Found this site to help me figure it out. That was about 13 yrs ago.
  8. I made the mistake of taking mine to a Cardinals game. Stayed at the Hilton. Waited in traffic for an hour to get to the valet. He said no way they can park my truck. Drove around aimlessly for another 30 mins and found 1 parking garage I could fit under. Then it was a close call making turns. Moral of story: don't take crew cab lwb DRW truck in city. I had other vehicles I could have taken I just feel safer in that truck going down the interstate in the event of a wreck.
  9. LMFAO
  10. Buy a used caliper and be done. Why do you think your's is bad? I've seen actuators go bad but not a caliper.
  11. All of these numbers give me a headache. Alky ftw. Even better, Alky Lectrons FTW.
  12. I'll sell ya a 16 Twister for $20k. Motor only.
  13. Sniper ran 3.52 and some low 1.2 60'. Scimitar ran 3.40.
  14. Or 26 mil Scimitar motor for $10,000 with pipes and carbs.
  15. 18 mil is the biggest I've seen in stock cases. Someone else maybe able to verify if you can go 20 mil.
  16. I have 24 mil Sniper engine complete. Billet cases, matoon clutch setup, billet tranny etc. Motor is almost 900 cc. Carbs and pipes too.
  17. Is there a patent on them?
  18. I used to always buy new shit. But I don't see paying $80k for a truck to pull my trailer 3 times a year. I don't know why they keep going up. Mine was $60k out the door in 2011. Sticker was $65k. Side note: my dad said a local dealer sold an Escalade XL Platinum the other day for $101k.
  19. I guess you'd be surprised what little tires can do. Even at the track we put some 12 pdl haulers on a 421 (instead of 14 stg extremes) to try to slow it down and it still ran low 3.8s @ 84mph. Go figure.
  20. If you do this from the ground up you're gonna be over budget even with a 4 mil. I'll sell you a good running 421 Cub for $2000 to get ya started. I'll throw in OOF pipes (CPI BB or Sniper- your choice) and carbs (alky PWK 38mm or 39mm - your choice)for $500 more. The motor is ready to go with reeds, intakes 2-5 (non dunable) override, lockup, etc. Does not have straight cut gears.
  21. $15,000 with clues or $13,500 clues not included. Can Deliver to the Shelton's race in Kentucky in September. Will consider delivery within reasonable driving distance from me.
