  1. This. It's usually something misaligned or its binding with the suspension travel if it throws or breaks a chain.
  2. Update here for ya'll. I got about 10 to 11 mpg I think pulling the 46' gooseneck to Louisiana and back. It got over 18 mpg going to the lake and back unloaded. That is a mix of hills and flat land and going through some small towns with speed limits down to 35 mph at times. I ran close to 70 mph most of the time, and road raged it up to 80 or 85 when I had to pass dumb fucks that that were holding up traffic or driving in the left lane in the areas that had the extra passing lane.
  3. Too many Busch lights???
  4. Yep. Years ago Riding my own shit in the 4s, then in the 3.8s, now I never ride. Now I have the best jockey in the biz making my junk look crazy fast.
  5. I have some sniper oofs. $500.
  6. Hell 41 mm carbs may just be too big for a 421 on GAS. Probably make for a good dyno sheet though.
  7. Make sure all black wires and the black/red wire are connected and that the black/white wire isn't grounded or connected to any of the aforementioned wires.
  8. Frayed reeds or out of sync carbs can cause your issue also.
  9. Sell those Miks and get some Lectrons or PWKs. Or at least borrow some to try. No reason the Mikunis won't work but if someone can't get you close it's gonna be a headache. What size dumps in those? Sure they aren't drilled out for alky? Pumpers? Do they have an actual overflow on them?
  10. OEM stator? Its good that you actually tested spark with an inline tester and know its not always sparking. Lots of people equate not starting or intermittent starting with "no spark" when thats not the problem at all. It should spark even kicking slowly.
  11. Has this motor ever ran good? What is different between now and when it ran good (besides elevation.)? It must be because it doesn't have Sniper Inframes on it....................
  12. You would already know if its damaged. The clutch would stay disengaged and the cable would have permanent slack in it.
  13. I have some ~80 RO 16 Staggered Rippers for $500 shipped. Know anyone needing an extra set of Jaws pipes? I have some I need to get rid of.
  14. It looks like I can maybe ship it Greyhound for around $150 but it would have to be picked up a bus terminal. Or maybe fedex for around $250. I'm checking on other shipping options as well. If anyone has a good/inexpensive freight company in mind let me know.
  15. I can do some checking.
  16. Thread is old as fuck but that one is not 200 hp. Probably wouldn't even run 3.7s.
  17. Not been open in a couple or 3 years. For racing OR riding. We don't have a track even close to us anymore.
  18. Just a little restructuring, not getting out. I've not been able to list any of this stuff for sale due to divorce. I didn't want to put a value on anything. I pretended like this shit didn't exist when we divided (MY) assets. I'll have some small motors listed soon. May have that 10 Mil Twister for sale one day. There is no way I'd sell that 16 Mil Twister. Not for $10k. I've never heard a motor sound so crisp and perfectly tuned and ready to run like that one does. I think I could gear it to do 100 mph in 300 ft and it would damn near do it. It holds the front end up through the finish every (clean) pass.
  19. Thanks Green!! The blue one is the best working chassis I have really. Best 60' time of 1.301 as pictured above with plastic and big duner radiator.
  20. This a modded stocker and comes with a plus 8 or plus 12 swinger along with wheelie bar and fuel tank.
  21. Either of these are for sale. First payer gets one of these and I will keep the other. $2500 for either. Comes with tie rods and spindles, steering stem, wheelie bar and fuel tank only. Both are Black Label/Quick16 chassis The blue one was the 650 cc record holder until this year. The chrome chassis is not in perfect condition cosmetically. There is some slight flaking in some spots. I will point these out to serious buyers as I don't have any current pics of the bare chassis. I think the chrome one is around 80 inch wheel base and the blue on is around 86 inch. Will get exact specs for serious buyers.
