  1. Oil, I'm running the 2 into 1 with a kehin (SP?) PWK 35mm A/S 52 pilot, 185 main, 4mm cutaway slide (don't remember the needle spec's).
  2. Kevin Khorell @ "Custom Creations ATV" Located in Highland CA (909) 388-2887
  3. As a matter of fact I am very familiar with those vehicles (I do consulting for a SCORE 7 team). And if your read my post you will notice I said not a nitrogen sprung shock. It is common knowledege that nitrogen is used to charge the shock, not spring it. In emulsion dampers the nitrogen is used to maintain pressure on the piston, and to prevent foaming. If you have some pictures of different SCORE and CORR cars and trucks set up with AIR BAG's I'd love to see them...
  4. Never heard of a "rule" that a +4 is all you can jump. I have a +4 arm and air it out every chance I get, performs great while in the sand or in flight, no problems what so ever. While jumping a bike with a +10 arm may be a handfull, if the arm was built corectly there should be no problems.
  5. You'll get some mixed views on this one. I run a Durablue X-33 axle, dune the ever loving shit out of my bike and abuse it in the desert too and I have yet to have one single problem with the axle. Guys racing MX may have another story but I love mine. I think you meant wider, and I would say yes, a wider axle makes the bike much more stable, plus depending upon the ofset of your wheels you can get the front and rear track width to match if you go with the +2+1 a arms. I say at the very minimum, leave it stock and get the rear shock re-valved. But if you primarily ride sand I say go longer. I have a +4 and still ride in the desert with no problems.
  6. Here is what mine look like. Yes they are great pipes, pricey? I did not think they are that expensive, my engine builder likes Matt's (Shearer) pipes and uses them on his personal drag bikes (out of frame version) the ones pictured above were built for my engine and were not expensive, but Matt's shop is close to us - southern California.
  7. Sorry to hear about the foot / ankle, hope you make a speedy full recovery. For those who don't care to run conventional nerf's IMS makes some nice heel guards that work well protecting your feet from the tires.
  8. They are called Fox "Float" (Fox Load Optimizing Air Technology) shocks, they do produce a front set for the Banshee, and I believe they are available now, and yes they are pricey. I have not ridden a set but will very soonjust to satisfy my own curiosity. Based on my experience with air bag type shocks (King builds some that FUNCO the sand rail company uses on their cars) they are good for general riding, but when you really start to push them, the rate vs ride quality goes out the window and they can not handle any seroius abuse. For a recreational rider with deep pokcets they may be alright, but I doubt we'll be seeing them on any pro level quads. Anyone follow SCORE or CORR desert / short course racing series? see any air bag type shocks on those trucks or buggies??? NO............ I'll stick to good old coil springs and revalvable shocks, but then again I'm a little biased.
  9. That Budweiser will get 'ya everytime!!!!
  10. The Shearer's are so new I have not needed to polish them yet, I just keep them clean. On my old T-5's I used this stuff called "Wenol" it's made in Germany I think and it comes in 2 toothpaste looking tubes, one is blue and the other is orange. where do you get that stuff from, or is that one of those perks of eibach? No smart ass, I bought it at a car show, some guy was polishing beer cans with it or something, I do see it at Harley and hot-rod shops though. OK, JACK ASS i've tried that stuff just didn't like it. i tried it on my coddingtons on my fullsize. i got suckered by the beer can thing to. Jack ass? Suckered? Budweiser? You crack me up. I just answered your questions brother, the wenol stuff works great for me, but I'm not trying to shine coddingtons.................................

  12. You guys are all wrong..........COORS LIGHT

  14. All I have to say is HOLY SHIT!! How would you like to have to call your car insurance company and explain that one?
  15. Yes, you just need it for some lubrication for the steel wool, once you have all the crap off the pipes polish them how you would normally.
  16. Steel wool lubricated with some glass cleaner works great...Do NOT use a scotchbrite pad, it will scratch the chrome.
  17. Not sure what they have going on there, but the banshee is a "YFZ350" I believe this is Yamaha's official model #.
  18. Carlos, I ride mostly at Glamis duneing not dragracing, and I run a +4" arm on my Banshee, I could not imagine runing a - length (shorter arm) in the sand, I'll catch some shit for this, but I'm just trying to give you another opinion. I too would stay away from lonestar, there are much better products out there at much better prices. If you want some great shocks at a great price call Todd @ TCS (909)245-7484, tell him what you are looking for and he'll get you set up for 1/2 the price of Axis or Ohlins.
  19. Try the search feature, this topic has been discussed in length MANNY TIMES, you will find lots of information.
  20. So you mean you're getting another YFZ, only this thime a YFZ 450....Congrats!
  21. It just depends on which "part" of Beaumont you want to ride at. Parts arre closed now (for parking) and the "no trespassing" is enforced. I used to like to park off of Gillman Springs Road (off 60 fwy) and ride through the old Lockeed missle plant, and then into the area behind the chicken ranch, but I don't think we can park there anymore...
  22. If you guys don't mind, let me know when you are going to go to Beaumont or El Mirage, both places are great to ride at, but this time of year they are both HOT. Ricky, sent you a PM about the swinger...
  23. Get yourself a "Mity-Vac" hand held vaccum pump, loosen 1 bleeder, attach the pump, pump it to create the vaccum - thus drawing the fluid through the line. Easiest way I know of, has never let me down. Most auto parts places sell them, and they're cheap, less than $30. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.
  24. I sure do, what exactly are you looking for (tube style, carrier style, raw or coated, etc...) Kevin (my friend that owns Custom Creations builds them) He builds all of "RIS Designs" arms to give you an idea of his quality, everything is build to order 4130 tig welded chromoly. I run his +4" on my bike.
