  1. On the stock cases the deck, did your builder fill in the voids with devcon epoxy? If he didn't that's your problem more than likely. Yamaha cut's water jackets that matches the stock cylinders on the top of the cases about a 1/4 deep they have to be filled in with epoxy. The top of the cases must be flat completely to match the cylinders. Between the cylinders on the top of the deck on the stock cases theirs water jacket wright in the middle that looks like a football that has to be filled in also thats the important one. Especially if your transfer ports are open up in that area. Your gasket will not cover that football completely.Theirs alot work to be done with the cheetha cylinders thats why they came out with the cubs. I wouldn't run it any more till you found the problem.

  11. Check this guy out over at planet sand web site he goes by the name piranha. He sell's straight cuts( stock ratio only.) His gears come with the bronze bushing already machined on the basket gear. No screwing around pressing out the old bushing. Yamaha dosen't sell just the bushing. You have to buy the complete gear set if screw up the stock bushing. Check this guy out before you buy anything Great guy to deal with. I think I payed 460.00 for both gears. IMO you will need these with that motor.

  22. I used AVgas for about 8 years with no problem at all. It's refined fuel. Clean fuel. Alot of people out west us it too with no problems.
  23. It will load up. It's not a four stroke. To much vibration for a 2 stroke to let it sit their idling for a long time without hitting the throttle every 10 sec or so. You have to hit the throttle to blow off the excess fuel off the needles at the carbs. So it won't load up.
  24. If you buy the recreational now you can always send them back to elka for a up grade at a later date.
  25. AWSOME bike
