its been my experiance in car engines with chrome versus aluminum valve covers.the raw alm. dissipates heat better than chrome because of surface area.so yes there will be a gain in temps but may be acceptable.

dipping one tooth on the front will cuase a gain in lower end,But will cause never ending shifting in tight to open trails.go up a size and it will widen gearing to less shifting and higher mph.i hope you get what im saying cuase i just woke up

DID you get it to stop leaking oil through the cases?did you finally figure out the problem. i know it blew the crank soon after you got it in march.i hope the cases werent cracked

how much for the tires ?are the rears the same size on both sides?

the way i did my last top end was easy.put the rings on the right way,put in the inboard side c-clip in piston,insert the piston the correct way a little bit into the bottom of the bore,enough for the wrist pin hole to show.next put wrist pin in piston with a little 2 stroke oil.put c-clip in on out side, slide the jug the rest of the way down.repeat other side.just dont forget to put base gaskets on and rags above crank to save from a lost c-clip.before i put the head on i like to put a little 2-stroke oil in the clyinders and turn it over a few times to get the rings lubed

that particular one i got from dennis kirk ebay sales.it was a scratch and dent type of sale.for 10 bucks ill live with some creases that i got out any way.but you can get them through dennis kirk or ceet mfg.
