  1. nice pics,MEAt ive gotta ask about another coalfest type of ride.id like to come up there and give those hills a run. well as for me,me and the wife just came back from the hatfeild&mccoy trails in west virginia.we had a blast.we went down for the dirtdays festiville.i met a few HQ'ers Rattlehead and another but cant remember his screen name.we stayed right at the rolling thunder extreme park witch had 300ft drags and a huge hill climb.i spent all of thursday,friday and saterday night dragging.it was sharp as shit.there was about 300 quads,alot of hybrids.one that is sick was a hayabusa banshee.that thing ripped and it was on nitrous.i was running a consistant 5.6 sec.the first night out,but after trail riding and crudding up the filters i dropped down to a 6.0 .all in all we had fun and had a chance to meet alot of cool hillbillys i can tell you one thing they know how to tune a shee in the mountains down there.esepecially on alcohol.i never new that it was that easy.ive got video's of everything but dont know how to get it from a VHS-c to a disc.does anyone know? heres the link to the place we stayed ROLLING THUNDER XTREME PARK

  4. flywheel holder,you can make.a flat bar with two bolts running through it.and maybe a clutch holding tool.both of these would make life easier but nut nessecary if you have an impact gun.and clean rags.when assembling cleanliness is key,i can stress that enough.oh one last thing a nice little set of pics,you know like an ice pick but stanley sells them cheep and have a nice curve on them to get the c-clips in and out of the pistons.and a manual,its esential
  5. from my experiance my rockets have more torque than my old school gold series.that tells you something right there.on my shee its a stock bore,stock stroke,with a agressive mx,trail port.with some other goodies of course.the only reason i may be getting rid of them is because im getting into dirt drags,and like the outa frames for the bling effect.but lets not make this a pissing match,please.
  6. i would stay away from a high compression piston like vito's.to me there not proven like wiseco's,even though there made by them.if this is your first top end i would keep it simple.pro lites,shave your head(this will bump your compression) and send your jugs to get bored and ported if you have the loot to do it all at once.

  16. i think the front mounts are a solid type mount.now the rear has rubber bushings in it.from the sound of it there prabably worn out

  19. you did exactly what you should have done.its a good thing you went rooting around,before you roasted your top end.with that 260,after a plug chop seams a lil rich pull your lid off.but i would put some new plugs in her before you go and chop them plugs.im over in jersey and with my old school fmf's i was running a 270 main with my lid off,with a uni filter and rad valves and cool head.so that 260 should do ya
  20. from my experiance,rockets have a different power band,from my old fmf's still have alot of torque down low but i also run 17-41 gears.so like i said with proper gearing you may like them.it would really depend on you and your riding charachteristics.if your a hard charger, fast in,brake late and power out of corners like me,i think youll like them for mx.13-41 for mx i think would be great,to keep it in the r's for instant response and getting on the pipe immediatly

  23. not nessesarily true.if hes a decent rider,and he sounds like hes got a good head to race those cart thingys,hell probably do quite well.as long as you dont go nutty and treat it with respect.remember dont out ride yourself,or the bike will out ride you
