it sounds like a parking brake switch, not sure if a 97 has it or not.that switch wont let the rpms go past much more than idle.unplug the tors box under the left side of the gas tank and see if she wile fire up

Banshee Gets Too Hot Quickly
superchicken replied to q8banshee3883's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i agree 7 degrees seems a little much.also you said you have some kind of grill, does it decrees the air flow to the radiator.i have a cool head,145 lbs. of compression and it runs at 160 to 180 degrees.and i feel the heat from the pipes -
Still Have Problems With My Dynatech Box
superchicken replied to superchicken's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
well i finally have good news,it turned out to be the coil.for some strange reason it would run with the stock cdi,but not with the dyna fs.the stocker must be able to work with less resistance across the primarys, and the dyna must just grounds out.took it for a spin last night noticed alot more bottom end.cant really say it its all because of the dyna box or the complete new electrical system thats in her -
Still Have Problems With My Dynatech Box

well thanx every one for replying, ive checked the wiring to the kill switch it was fine tors is disconected the only solid proof that something is wrong,is that the coil has no primary resisistance.so it seems to me the coils grounding out.got a new one comeing soon.does anyone know the best curve for 145lb.s of compression.dont want to get any dentonation.thanx scott -

Still Have Problems With My Dynatech Box
superchicken replied to superchicken's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
sadly to say yes it does run with the stock cdi box,yes i do have resistor plugs in it and the stock timing.i was on the timing issue,i thought the first go round with my problem was that it may have a degree key in it,wasnt able to check the timing lent my light to a buddy, but check it last night and it was right on the money.changed the stator back to my old one stll the same.and on the dyna tech help, the head tech scott told me that some times from the facorty there boxes get sent out with two wires in the wrong position, take them out of the connector, reposision them and it should run.NO help.im really fed up with this box 300$ dollars and its turning into a paperweight -
well ill try to make this short.bought a dyna fs box last month, got the wrong year so i bought a wiring harness to match.hooked it all up started and died, every time, with the ocasional back fire.ok,attributed it to the parking brake switch that my bike didnt have but the newer wiring harness did.played with the wiring still no luck got fed up,sent it back.meanwhile i hooked the original harness up with the stock cdi, fired up with a few kicks,so i know it wasnt the bike.now the fucked up part,i talked to a guy at dyna told him i bought the wrong year box and couldnt get it to run even with the correct harness.so they were nice enough to send me the correct year.i tought my worries were over.got the new box today, and still the same fucking thing, starts every time but only climbs up to like 2500 rpm and dies.every time.its driving me nuts.does anyone have an answer to my problem.thanks scott

Sycotic produces a skeptical, non-believer style of thinking. People with strong sycotic miasms are very hard to convince, for example, that a new medicine or a different viewpoint may be beneficial for them or that their life will ever improve. They are often sullen, irritable, and fixed in their ideas. It also shares a manic-depression quality that is similarly found in the polio miasm. For instance, for a couple of days you may feel on top of the world and later, a deep depression may follow. The sycotic depression carries with it a tiredness bordering exhaustion. In fact, one Materia Medica refers to the sycotic condition as a "state of collapse". Other symptoms of the sycotic miasm include: Forgetfulness - Dullness - Talkativeness - Manipulative Suspicious (paranoid) - Anger - Fear of dark - Rebellious Panic attacks - Nausea - Headaches - Sore throats Runny nose - Canker sores in mouth - Nose bleeds Chronic diarrhea for more read here http://www.bodyved.com/Sycotic.htm thank you very much efwardo

im trying to figure out were to start so here it is.my shee is a 97,but some on before me put a 96 ignition and i didnt know it.so when i ordered my dyna box i bought a 97.got the box whent to install it didnt work.ok istead of cuting the dyna up i got a 97 and newer wirng harness.ok,put the new harness on,and at the same time put a ricky stator on.on the wiring harness didnt hook up any of the tors system, but i did connect the red and black key switch wires together, cause i dont have a key switch that works.got every thing together and it fires up with almost a half a kick but only runs for for a few seconds.every time i kick it over it sounds the exact same way.almost like the ignitions getting shut down at the same rpm.the bike ran like a champ before all of this.the only thing i can come up with is the parking brake switch, and the key switch.in the wiring diagram for a 96 it has the key switch to be a closed circut to run and for a 2001 it has it open to run?/?im stuck with this.sorry for the novel just trying to decribe my pain the best i can
