if your needle valve is sticking open then yes it can flood your engine when its not running.that will cause the excesive smoke when you do get it going.i dought its your mains,but im not to firmiliar with keihens(sp)take them apart and check the needle valves to see if there worn and replace

i have know idea on witch gear to run.ive never dyno'ed a bike just cars.i usualy run cars :manual trans: in third gear.it gives the engine a longer pull to the red line. i would think 4 gear would be a solid gear to try it out but ive seen guys on tv run them straight though all the gears,bouncing off the rev limiter on each.

even if the numbers were low,as long as the dyno in consistant its still a solid baseline to tune your shee on it.its nice to see actual numbers to say if this adjustment made a difference.BTW those H.P. numbers that tats said were they at the fly wheel HP or real wheel HP?youll be suprised how much hp is lost through the drive train.

last year at the track i lost the chain and blew off the top of the case were they usauly do.i would try to weld it together but i couldnt find any pieces of it in the dirt bigger than a 1/2 inch so no biggy.some guys grind them down after this happens but i believe in the more metal on it the stronger so i left it,just a battle scar to me.

yep,its still nice and tight.ya got to get some hours on it and shell loosen right up.are you still running the 24-1 break in mix still.after your done breaking it in i like to change the plugs cause they get f-ed up with microscopic peices of metal from break in.after that should run like a champ.word of the wise scrounge 25 bills up and buy a clymers manual,its priceless at times.

thanks,i realy try not to sink it to deep into mud.i hate cleaning that shit off,it gets everywhere and then some.but after we go riding i clean her like its new again(anal i guess) and use some crome polish on the aluminium.i know riding it in the dirt ill never have show quality polished parts but try just to keep it shiny

you do know it should run without that switch,but in the stock curve setting.just incase it doesnt come in by the weekend.i agree that there customer service is some of the best in the biz.
