I knew I was setting myself up but sometimes we have to take a shot at ourselves....And yes she's definitely a keeper!!!

I have a +4 and love it. It's amazing what 4 inches can do. (Atleast that's what my wife tells me..LOL) I definitely wouldn't go any longer. My brother has a +8 and that is too long for the tight trails and some of the narrow hill climbs. He is always hanging his rear wheels on roots, trees and bending rims. Here's a link for doing it yourself: http://www.westcoastatv.com/Technical/Swin...swingarmext.htm

I also noticed the increased ride height but when I am sitting on my shee ready to ride it doesn't sit to bad. The only mistake that I made was not checking the presets on my first ride, and I about jammed my wrists out of their sockets. Had to soften the ride up. The guy that I bought them from had the valves dialed all the way in. I also just got my shock back from TCS, and I must say that she rides like a cadilac now, before over big whoops, I could feel the shock bottoming out, but no problems now. Next is extended a a-rms. This is probably going to sound stupid, but what is the bottom adjustment for on the 450 shocks??

I Know Someone Can Help Me With This Probem
dnhyoung replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Just think, all of the money you are spending on drugs you could be spending to trick out your shee!!!! I think of it like this, I would rather spend the money on a balls to the wall adrenaline rush cause my shee is fast and looks good, that will be there for me to ride the next weekend, rather than having to go a spend another $20,$30, $50 to get that fix that will only last a few hours. Again, just my $.02 -
Yesterday while riding at Spinreel on the Oregon Coast, I saw a guy that had turned his Honda CBR600 Street bike into a sand dragster. I wish I would of had my camera to take a few pics but it was pretty awesome. He had mated an extended EX swingarm to his CBR swingarm and was using a stock Honda EX axle with Taller Hauler paddles. He was running a 14 tooth front sprocket with a 65 tooth rear sprocket. He said that he had tried smaller rear sprockets, but it would just loop over instantly. I watched him make several passes until his CDI came loose and was sucked into his front sprocket. He said that he was planning on being at Dune fest. Can't wait to see it when he gets it dialed in.

while you are there, drill and tap a zerk fitting in the swingarm, just make sure that it is somewhere you can get at it once everything is back together

I appreciate the info, the tusk tie rod ends are on the way.... Anyone have any idea about setting the toe in/alignment???
-
do you recommend the All Balls set which they are currently out of stock, or the Tusk set?????
-
I was noticing that both of my outer tie rod ends are getting pretty worn and kind of sloppy. I was wondering if there was an aftermarket replacement or if you just used stock ones. I priced them at the local stealership and they wanted $49.00 each. I about choked, and I think I pissed the guy off when I asked if that was for both, and he replied, "no that's each" Also, How do you align a shee? How much toe in should a shee have? Do I Take it to Leschwab and have them put it on the rack...and tell them I want a 4 wheel alignment.......

sorry I didn't realized that I posted this under the incorrect topic

I've been riding the dunes for almost 5 years, and I've only been sound checked once(knock on wood!), and that's was just because they were doing some kind of a study to find out what type of mods with what type of pipes produced how many DB's. I've never been hassled by any of the rangers, but I also like to take a minute and B.S. with them if I see them out and about. That and not try to be too obnoxious in the parking lot.

Right now the Dunes are steep and you have to watch out for the razor backs. But by may things will have changed quite a bit. As for fees you will need a Northwest Forest Pass which is $5.00 a day or for an annual pass it's $30.00. Which are available at the staging area by the restrooms.(per vehicle) If you are interested, I know of a nice place that is for rent by the day/week that is pretty reasonable Sleeps 10 and is within riding distance. Or here is a link for the campground just at the entrance to the dunes... http://www.discoverypointresort.com/

Here's a few pic of what I had to grind highlighted in red. It was mostly trial and error. Just grind a little, then check for fit. I had a buddy watching to see what was hitting, while I was trying to put the suspension into every angle possible while still sitting in my garage. Hope this helps..... Right top

I also use Upp Chain rollers and slider. They are really tough and simple to put on, Plus the fact that there shop is only 20 minutes away.
