  1. A buddy of mine got a LED kit that replaced all of the bolts that held on the fender plastic. Then he installed a switch that is fed from 2-9 volt batteries that are stored under the seat in the old tool storage. I turned out way cool. I'll see if I can get a photo.
  2. I usually order mine from www.rockymountainatv.com They want 3.99 a liter vs. 6.50 at the local shop for bel-ray 85w. I usually get a few buddies to make an order together and it still is cheaper when you split the S&H
  3. Everyone I ride with uses 85w gear oil from Bel-Ray
  4. I'm probably going to get blasted for adding my 2 cents on this subject but I have an uncle that has been a pilot for years. He explained to me that the basic difference between race gas and av gas is that Race gas is designed to burn cooler and AV gas has additives designed to make it burn hotter. Besides the basic octane rating, The idea is To Keep the airplane engine at operating temp while dealing with cooler temps at the high altitudes that planes reach. Again just my 2 cents but I would rather spend the money and have my shee run cooler.......
  5. I've got a question for all of you experienced banshee riders out there. I am thinking about heading to the snow to go riding with some friends, and was wondering what you would recommend for tires. I have the stock knobbys, and also my sand tires (8 paddle haulers with razor back fronts). I am familiar with the jetting mods that will need be required but I am unsure of which tires to use. The area I am going to be riding at (Diamond Lake) varies in snow depth from 10-12 inches to several feet with lots of groomed snow mobile trails. Thanks in advance for any tips. Dan

    Case Saver

I know that a Company called UPP Racing also carries the Case Savers they aren't listed on their website but you can contact them via their website www.uppracing.com. they also have alot of other parts and carry fullbore plastic and are working on carrying another line that is comparable to full bore.
  7. I currently have Toomey T-5's that have a black finish on them and are pretty rusty on the necks. They were on the bike when I purchased it, and I want to upgrade. I am unsure whether I should use Toomey's upgrade policy and go with the new TR-6's or have my current T-5's chromed. I was quoted a price of $275 to have my old pipes chromed plus they will be gone for a month to allow for them to be soaked/ cleaned and then chromed vs. #375.00 for the new TR-6's. ya I know there is $100 difference, but what I am more curious if there any difference in performance??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.....
  8. itsaripper, I'm from southern oregon also, I'm always looking for someone new to go riding with. drop me a line if interested.
  9. The New Guy, There is a shop down here in Grants Pass that quoted me a price of $250 for frame and a-arms, and that was with a black metalic finish with a clearcoat( 2 steps). E-mail me and I can give you some more info.
  10. I was curious if those super flow water pumps that everyone sells are worth installing and if so are they that difficult to install. I was told that the stock ones are plastic and have a tendency to break when they get warm. Thanks, Dan
