  1. I have a set of Lazer stars on my '01 SHee, and a set of the Trail Techs on my '04 grizzly, and I can't see any difference between the 2 other than the cost. I'm even running the light covers from UPP, and they both fit just fine. Plus Trail tech's replacement parts are alot more reasonable... Just my $.02

  4. I don't mean to sound like i am doubting you, but I haven't ever heard of a 2 1/8" ball. I've heard of the other standards such as 1 7/8", 2", and 2 5/16". IS this something new, or have I just been asleep at the wheel??? Er...maybe I had my head up my ass this morning....and to top it all off.....I can't find my god damn receiver and ball to even check what size it in fact is. lol we all have our moments. I just wanted to make sure that i didn't need throw another hitch in the tool box. Cause ya never know what size ball or drop your gonna need.

  6. They make 2 different kind of the heat shrink. One kind has a sealing gel on the inside of the heat shrink to seal out moisture for underground splices, the other doesn't. Just make sure what kind you get, because the heat shrink with the sealing gel will ooze out of the ends, and stays very tacky. If you have any trouble finding some, let me know, we probably have some at the shop.
  7. Save up your pocket lint and get the Dodge. I love my '01. I recently installed the 65 hp chip along with the 4" exhaust and pilar mount gauges, and now she absolutely kicks ass. There's nothing better than coming up along the side of some punk with there radio pounding and just mashing down on the gas, and watching as there cab fills with diesel exhaust and there radio is just drowned out by the bellowing exhaust. I think I need to go for a drive..LOL later
  8. but them direct at www.uppracing.com
  9. Ya, I dump my old gas, in my wife's car or even my work truck. Just a little more lubrication for the top end
  10. I just got caught up on this post, and was wondering what if you made and bar clamps. possibly with a name machined into it. Also where does a guy send you money to buy one of your yamaha dipsticks? Do you paypal??

  12. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do enjoy the occassional stogie. I prefer an Onyx or Bacharat, anyother stogie smokers out there?
  13. What I am wondering is how wide do you run the front end in comparison to the rear end. Because I have a chance to get a great deal on a set of +2 +1 a-arms. I curenty have a stock a-arms & axle and was wondering where I want the front tires to line up with in relation to the back axle/tires. On my current set-up my front tires track down the center of the rear tires. Is this something I should worry about, or am I just worrying about it too much?? Also thinking about a +2 +4 rear axle. Thanks for the info.....
  14. just make sure you don't hit any water so they start to sprout...LMAO J/K I would try vaccuming them out or possibly some compressed air from the inside
  15. what type of intake and air filters are you running with this set-up??
  16. will there bet that noticable of power gains??
  17. are you guys going to be camping or just in the day use area???
  18. I'm ready to spend some money on some carbs, But I am really unsure of what size and type to get. You can see my mods in my signature, and I don't really plan on doing much more to it that will drastically change the engine other than freshening up the top end. Do I want 30mm D slides, 33mm pwk's, airstrykers...what's the best recommendation, and what will my gains be versus cost. I've read some of the back posts, but the more I read, the more I get confused..
  19. I just went through this with a friend of mine, and this is what we found out. The Raptor has a five valve head, 3 intake and 2 exhaust. The carb that takes the larger jetting actually feeds 2 of the intake ports while the carb that will get the smaller jetting only feeds 1 intake port. So basically more air going into the 2 intake carb needs more fuel. I am suprise that there isn't more of a size difference between the jets. When we installed his exhaust there was like 3 sizes difference between the jetting on the carbs. I think it was like 175/160 for the jets. hope this helps... Oh by the way, when I was done helping him with his craptor, I had to wash thouroughly so the shee didn't smell four storke oil on me...LOL
  20. Here in Oregon, I was quoted $150 Per chamber, plus they would be gone for 3-4 weeks since they were used pipes
  21. Glad to hear that you are ok and resting somewhat comfortably. I know that everytime I come home with a new bump or bruise my wife vows to make me sell my shee, but She always gives in when I'm all healed up. Just remember to ride the sympathy train as long as you can..LOL Feel Better and take it easy, Dan
  22. I've got an '01, and the green is low, yellow is high, and black is ground
  23. I've had mine back for a couple of weeks now, and have been riding a couple of times. I am completely thrilled by the fact that I don't have to pry my kicker out to start my bike and that I also don't miss that annoying rattle. I appecaite you sharing your expetise. Thanks, Dan P.S. I think that by losing the rattle I might of picked up a few HP...LOL
  24. Powerman How far north do you travel? We are getting ready to install back-up generators in Hoopa and Happy Camp for a couple of our customers. I guess they are always having power outages in the winter that last several days to a week..
  25. IT was a while ago, but if I remember correctly, it was a 3-250 kcmil conductors with an 8k jacket. Roughly the size of your index finger with approximately 3/8 of insulating material then a shielding layer, then another 3/8 of insulation and then an outer jacket
