oh, damn. bad ass man, you did a hell of a job on that.

What brand and width are those yfz arms?
-
The RPM carriers with the tapered bearrings are pretty damn good. That's what I'm running.

After a while of riding my case vent hose seems to act like a syphon and steadily dumps out my oil untill it's low enough that my shifter get's stuck and won't shift up more then 1 gear and won't shift down at all. Seems like I've seen where other people have had this problem of their oil being syphoned out. I did a search but didn't find much of anything. I need to find out why it's doing this and what I need to do to prevent it. Anyone have some insight to this problem?

Depends on if it's the front or rear. Going bigger on the front makes for taller gearing where as the rear the smaller the sprocket the taller the gearing.

Yeah, I absolutly love my -2.5 I got from bansheefreak, probably my favorit mod. No downside imo for my style of riding, wouldn't change it for anything.

Looks bad ass. A flip on a shee is very doable, if a snowmobile or yfz or whatever can do a flip what would stop a shee from flipping?
-
I need a stock carb slide or a stock carb with a slide for cheap. If anyone has one let me know, thanks.
-
I'll definately be lookin' forward to that.
-
I would go with the -2 and just call elka and have them build it for that length swinger. I love mine and it's a -2.5, but I only weigh about 200 lbs. Mine doesn't even think about coming up in turns but everyone has a diffrent riding style, you may hover more over the ass end then I do, can't say for sure. If you actually "ride" the bike and aren't just "along for the ride" it won't come up on you. If you know what I mean. oh and get some pics of this beast when it's together!

You want the +1 forward.

Yeah, the main thing is training. Wether it be from riding it's self or with aerobic exercise (high repitions). The body will adapt and start producing less lactic acid which causes the burn/fatigue/arm pump. You can get some round pipe around 1.5-2" dia. drill a hold in the middle and run a small rope threw it long enough to reach to the ground from atleast your waist. Attatch weights to the other end however you want and roll it up over and over. There's other ways to increase your actual grip/pinch grip strength which could also help. It would also be very helpfull to eat a ballanced meal about 1 hour before then drink a serving of Whey protein in water atleast 30 minutes to an hour before the race or whatever strenuous activity and immediately after. The banana would be eaten immediately before and after. Staying well hydrated threwout the day is also a given, preferably from water but gatorade is ok. Definately not soda, coffe, or energy drinks.

Awesome, definately get a lot of pics. I'm a widequadaholic, I was thinking of selling my +2 shee arms for some + yfz arms so I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Thanks for all the input, I'll show him this thread. Basically reinforcing what I had told him. he's mainly doing so to keep up with the banshee and the other big bikes we ride with.

Will these tires fit stock banshee rims?

Here's a pic of 20/11/9 holeshots and 18/10.5/8 kenda claws. -

Depends on which you do more often or are more serious about or what kind of trail riding you do. 18's will high center you all the time in the trails I ride. What I'd reccomend to you before new tires even as far as hooking up in the dirt and on the track is a -2 swinger. Makes a diffrence like you wouldn't believe and trust me, it's not unmanagable. Meaning it's not just going to stand on end on you. My favorit tires out of kenda klaws, razr's, and holeshots are the holeshots. -

The last number is the rim size. Stock banshee rims are 9" so the 18/10/9's would be what you want. On a side note, 18" tires aren't what you want for trails and the MXR tires wear out quick. Anywhere from a 20"-22" tire is what you should be looking at. I'd reccomend Kenda Knarly's, Holeshot XC, or Razr 2's. I myself have only used the HoleShot XC's but I've heard nothing but good about the other two and even still those aren't the only good options open to you. -
I agree. That's what I told him, but he seems to be set on a 2 stroke. I'm going to see if I can't talk him out of it but untill then if anyone else has any reccomendations. A link, email, or phone number is much appreciated. Thanks for the number RK.

If they're aftermarket a arms just look on the upper a arm. The top ball joint should have some sort of threaded adjustment to adjust the camber in or out. 500 dollars is one hell of a deal, congrats on the find. I looked for months and the best I found was mine at 1800. I did alright but needless to say I'm jealous of that deal. Goodluck with it, ANY questions you may have can easily be answered here.

I saw those, way out of the price range not to mention that doesn't include the cost of the bottom end. Just lookin' for a place who can do a top/bottom end rebuild with a longrod stroker and some midrange porting. Thanks for the link though.

I contacted F.A.S.T. but Jeff was backed up for another month or so, so if anyone can give me some feedback from other companies they had good experience with I'd appreciate it. This is for a CR125 btw. Friend of mine blew his top end and the bottom is pretty old also so he's wanting to go all out on some porting and a stroker. Need to find a reputable company who's not backed up so I can talk to them and get some price/turn around time quotes. Appreciate it.

I don't think I've updated my pics in here. I have a few mods done since the last pic.

For 3000 I don't think you're gonna beable to afford any 450 or mx shee unless you find some killer deals. There's a lot of things you can do to cut down on the banshee beating the hell out of you. DDQ's bike from what I know was almost stock aside from the front end, axle, tires, bars, and pipes. Still room for a steering stabalizer, suspension, and a -2 swinger which makes a massive diffrence like you wouldn't believe in handling. Get some PT mids and maybe an mx port/2-1 carb set up, advance the timing, increase compression, if you got the money a stroker and you should have plenty enough low/mid for the track. I just have pt mids, advanced timing, and a coolhead and my shee has enough bottom end for me to get the job done and then some. Hitting the gym won't hurt either. I'm pretty big into lifting and shit so the banshee isn't much trouble for me as it is for some but in comparison it is a lot more tiresome as DDQ already explained. hit the gym, hit the cardio, and get you a banshee son. You'll turn more heads on the shee at the track lol.
