  1. Selling the stock front end off my 450, parts are in great shape. Pics are kind of low quality but rest assured they're in excellent shape. Haven't been to the track on them, light use, obviously not brand new so there is cosmetic damage to the paint on the a arms, however the shocks look brand new. Asking 370 shipped. Can do paypal or money orders. Thanks, Blake.
  2. By the time you fabbed up a pair of D-Arms it would be far easier to just make a new mount to run a arms.
  3. Unfortunately you're going to have to pony up a good bit extra in cash. No one is going to strait up trade a decent 450 for a banshee with as few mods as yours has. Not to be harsh but just an honest answer to your post. I have both and I do love the yfz but the banshee is a must have. When the motor goes on these high strung high hp 4 strokes you could have rebuilt the shee 3-4 times over.
  4. They're just hack job fmf's.
  5. He's talking about the brake calipers, the banshee, blaster, raptor, warrior all have single piston brake calipers, the yfz has dual piston calipers. I believe the stems interchange but they're different lengths, I think people were putting worrior or banshee stems on their blasters for + lengths. The spindles all interchange also I believe.... There's quite a bit that interchanges.
  6. I HIGHLY reccomend the -2 swinger. Don't over look this suspension mod. Just do your research and do things right the first time and you will have one bad ass ride.
  7. More compression, more timing, porting, stroker, low-mid end pipes, powervalve conversion maybe more displacement, 2-1 carb. Anyone or all of these will increase the low end grunt. To a certain point some say the 2-1 carb isn't neccisary and you can run dual 33's or something in that neiborhood but no bigger than 35. After that you have to look past the motor and realize the shee needs a lot of work in the handling department.
  8. How would you compare the KTM to the two?
  9. Nope, the axle will slide right in your stock carrier. Nice bike, very clean.
  10. It's been covered a few times guys. The calipers are interchangable, the hubs are not.
  11. Thats a fake motor, the shell sticker is all that's powering that beast.
  12. I remember reading that they will not, not the hub but the caliper will bolt up fine. I'd suggest just springing for the yfz hubs and calipers and sell your banshee spindles ect.. I think the benifit is a little more susp. travel and obviously much better braking with the dual piston caliper.
  13. Not bashing you but with your gearing you're in the low-mid 80's. Not a bad speed, I had 15/40 gearing and 22's on my banshee a long time ago and I clocked it at 84 with a police speed trap.
  14. Go shorter with the swinger, overall better handling loads more traction and it's still managable. It won't be standing on end like you might think. One of my all time favorit mods for the stock chassis shee.
  15. I know, that's why I said age can't be the basis.
  16. Don't get me wrong, with the right mods you WILL run with the 450's if you know how to ride it will just take more effort. Just because the frame is 20 years old isn't the reason why it's bad, the 250R frame is older than the shee and it's a staple in frame design. With the right engine mods you can get a shee with a bit of grunt, obviosly it's not where it shines but making things work and using them for what it wasn't intended for is half the fun! That's why I have a full tilt mx yfz with a shee engine lol.
  17. Well where you end up depends on where you start. The yfz has better geometry from the get go that the shee does not. So to answer your question no, if anything the gap becomes larger.
  18. The description makes it sound bad. You could have a stock bore banshee blow the doors off the raptor if set up right. Notice it doesn't say what kind of intake/exaust and what kind of porting the 400 has. Not to take away from the turbo'd raptor, it's not slow by any means.
  19. They just bolt right up, you may want to use a different lever to push more fluid to the dual piston caliper, either the yfz or trx450 lever but it's not nessicary, just makes for more responsive brakes. There are advantages to using the whole set up but the calipers will just bolt on to the banshee spindles.
  20. Might aswell rebuild the works. No sense in using yfz shocks if you already have aftermarket. Yeah they are, well you could just shorten the stock swinger if you don't mind so much the bullshit chain adjustment. I got mine off the forums.
  21. I started coming in 01 when I got my first sport bike (blaster ) but didn't register untill later. Always wanted a banshee but being 13 an only child and an over protective mom they wouldn't let me get my all time favorit bike! Looking back it's a good thing to start small though. I mainly just trolled the site and absorbed info from the "OG's" .
  22. you absolutly do not want to cut it between the shock mount and frame, that will change shock position/angle and you will run into a handfull of geometry problems. Cut it after the shock mount and take out 2".
  23. Yeah I've seen it as low as 1.40's-1.50's here in Tx. I'm lovin' it.
  24. haha vintage porn mags included. It's like jackin' off in a time machine.
  25. Sounds like he has sand in his vagina. Some people can't admit when they're wrong. It's clearly a J-Arm, reguardless of being aftermarket.
