I just finished college ...but I feel your pain. As for your mullet-equipped buddy, I was in a similar situation with a goofball on a project....he was a tooth-pic with big poofy hair that screamed jackass and a know-it-all to boot. He bragged about his machining skills and we needed to turn down a part on the lathe. We set up the part in a four-jaw chuck and I stood back to watch his greatness. I cringed and clentched my hands as he began cutting. I had to correct him and show him how to cut the part which became a futile effort as soon as he ran the cutting tool right into the chuck! Broke the tool and our part went into orbit. I wanted to torch his scraggly hair boot his piddly ass across the shop. Ahhhh, I already miss those days

exactly! thats why there is no way in heck im registering my quad....Ive said it before and ill say it again if i meet govenor pataki Im going to kick him in the balls!! I guess he better that the weasle that was in before him... I've got seconds on the ball kicking!! Pataki and all his butt-slappin, don't know their elbow from their a$$hole, money hungry bitches really need to eat some of their own sh!t and resign from whatever the hell they're doin! ......they're doing anything but helping out NY state. Any way, I do not nor do I plan on registering my Banshee for NY. I do insure it and know where I'm riding though.
-
I'm down with it!!!!!!!! but I'm in my buddy's wedding Thanks for the invite and I really want to go on one of your riding events!

The basic operation of a 2-stroke means a lot of unburnt gas and lubricating oil goes out the tail pipe in the case of dirtbikes, quads, weedeaters, jet skis, and smaller engines with a very few exceptions such the semi-direct injection of the Ski-Doo snowmobiles. But, on the grand scheme of things, these little 2-strokes don't put out nearly the air emissions such as cars, industrial equipment, and power generation. The EPA still has a damn boner over getting rid of 2-stroke quads, dirtbikes and stuff.

I live in NY and have never been to the dunes and can understand a fee to camp and go riding....but another fee on top of that sounds like some way of soaking the taxpayers for more money for some agency that really does not need it. Then again, I have never been out there I'm still erked(sp?) at how NY state seems to raise vehicle registration fees as time progresses and the NY politicians still can't get a damn budget passed on time...... Sorry for my little rant

Don't you just love all the different units and all the conversion factors that go along with 'em. NASA sure does not like to convert numbers

If you're interested, I still have the summit turbo muffler sittin in my garage. Its single 3" in and dual 3" out and was only on my truck for a few months.
-
That setup is slick as hell! I'm thinkin my daily driver Silverado should become a sleeper

I have an '88 Silverado with a 350 and have tried a few exhaust systems.... First I bought the Summit mandrel bent aluminized 3" catback with dual 3" tails and ran that with no cat. Sounded good, but didn't quite do it for me. Also, your spare will have to be tossed in the bed of your truck with the 3" system. I then bought Summit's truck headers (really Flowtech headers). Did notice a difference in low end torque and produced a little more noise under the hood, not out the tail pipes. Got tired of the Summit muffler that came with the kit and I had a 3" 40 series Flowmaster hangin around. Threw that on and welded up a Y-pipe to fit the duals and I must say it sounded great! Good rumble at lower revs and made plenty of noise with the hammer down. I did have a cop question me about it.....let me off on a warning for speeding (I was very lucky) and seemed interested as to why it was as loud as it was. He was a actually cool about it! Currently, I am running a single 3" with a Deltflow 40 series. New York winters did its number. Still loud, not quite as loud the dual setup but I can keep the spare underneath and with the Deltaflow, noise inside the truck is really cut down. Like the other guys mentioned, Flowmaster is the way to go!

I like the word "stuff".....It answers so many questions and decribes so many things, such as Banshee, beer, things with stuff on it, food, gas...the list goes on

-
You're gonna find more than enough info on here to answer your questions..... Use the 'Search' option and read up. Hope you get yer hands on a shee, they're kind a fun to ride

Whats the best compression tester out there?
Stuff replied to bansheeigo's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I use a Craftsman compression tester and compared the results with two other Snap-On testers and they all read the same. -
I play Soldier of Fortune 2 ocassionally with a friend of mine. I feel its one of the best online first person shooter games I've played.

my shee runs peachy without a fan
-
I have run both and noticed no difference. While on the spark plug subject, where do you guys buy 'em and how much do you pay for 'em? I usually buy mine at the dealership for about $2.40 a plug but have been unable to get there because they now close earlier So, tonight I stopped by an Advanced Auto store and got 'em for $1.68 a plug

What kind of vehicle are they goin on? Regaurdless of vehicle, my vote is A, its looks pretty slendiverous!!
-
damn! I can't scroll fast enough
-
First thing that comes to mind is the suspension. I imagine on this scale it will be independent(both front and rear for best handling) for a mini monter truck. I would look into A-arms, drive axles and other drive train stuff. Other than that its a pretty cool idea and just let the imagination run with it!!

there was a thread on here a while ago on how to rebuild them yourself..... I did mine by what was posted by Fixitrod (I think????) and/or Holyman. Their fix for the rattle worked for me and is still holding up with no probs. Maybe get a hold of them and see if they can give you the info on how to do it yourself.
