  1. Hey man, just did this myself. $3 and some change and did not take long at all! fix it yourself kicker mod
  2. This site is the reason for me gettin a Banshee! I know I'm relatively new and I'd hate to see it go downhill.....Banshees are made to rip uphill I'm thinkin once this settles out Lee will make the right choice whether he keeps it or not. There are enough guys on here with the know-how and dedication to keep it goin. Props to Lee for keepin a coolhead and lookin out for the HQ and its members.
  3. I would guess he throws those things on when he's just moving it around...doesn't want to ride the paddles on a hard surface or let it sit around on the paddles.
  4. my credit card doesn't go that high
  5. Actually you should go with Bright or Neon Pink! j/k! Really, there are a lot of hard choices there. Either way the red or silver will look good! Also, some of that transparent stuff looks good.
  6. I shaved my head .030" at my school's machine shop and the shee runs fine on 93 octane. Obviously shaving it .010" will not have that big of a differnce as shaving it .030" If you shave the head .010" you change the chamber volume by about 0.52cc shaving it .030" the chamber volume will change by about 1.56cc I could figure the change in compression ratio but need to get some shut-eye. peace
  7. Have you checked the rubber lines? My roommate just about replaced his entire braking system on his Castang (Mercury Capri <=> Ford Mustang) only to find out one rubber line was buldging. I would guess the problem is most likely in a seal either in a caliper or the master cylinder judging how this problem occurred.
  8. That would look killer right above the tv in the living room!
  9. That made my day!
  10. Is it the room with the ACME machine thingy? If so: you have to put a piece of fire wood under the laser part and turn the machine on, it will get the wood burning, then put the burning piece in the fireplace to start a fire....why? I don't know maybe something to do with electricity and powering the machine. Then: take that triangle thingy and put under the laser as you did the fire wood, turn the machine on and there will be four differnet shaped pieces. go to the security panel next to the locked door and open it, arrange the four pieces so that the lock slider can slide to the left unlocking the door, you have to arrange the pieces so there is a notch
  11. can't believe I was up past 2 in the morning doing that thing!! Does it ever end? seems like it goes on forever! I don't know what level I was up to, remember coming to a hallway with a bunch of doors and did one or two more and then I was like BTW. what hell is a pool table with only 2 side pockets?
  12. Help me, I'm addicted!! I can't spank my monkey fast enough
  13. you may have to tweak the frame a bit along with stiffer springs!
  14. Yeah...they are Got mine unfinished with the Fatboy 2 for $630 w/shipping.
  15. Right on!! most of all just have fun!!!
  16. There are a lot of factors that can effect jetting. Read through this site and you will have a pretty good idea what to look for and what to do: Banshee Jetting FAQ Make sure your filter is clean before changing things around.
  17. if you don't get 'em powder coated (high temp.!!), ceramic coat or chrome is the way to go. Spray paint just does not hold up. I have never painted 2-stroke pipes but I have painted a few sets of headers with no luck. I coughed the extra dough and had my banshee pipes ceramic coated. Best bet, if you want it to look good, last and without a headache...stay away from the spray
  18. Bigger tires do take away from bottom end but you will gain top end speed. The taller tires will also make your clutch work harder. Essentially, what you are doing is changing the overall gear ratio. That is a big jump from, say, the 20" stockers. You change the radius by about 2.5" which is about a 20% change in gear ratio. If you want to run those tires and get the shee back to what the ratio was before you can either run a smaller front sprocket or a larger rear sprocket.
  19. yeah, you two had some nice sigs. they will be missed for sure
  20. Thanks guys, I'll run the BR8ESs and as always check 'em every so often. The shee runs fine and see no signs of detonation but just wanted to make sure. I am aware of running a colder plug will tend to load up more but if there was a detonation problem I would rather replace plugs more often than the top end. With NGKs the higher the number the colder the plug.
  21. I shaved my head .030" not too long ago and runs fine on 93 octane. I have not advanced my timing but from what I have heard/read you should be safe on pump gas. Now I have a question about increased compression and spark plug heat range... Anybody here shave their head or used smaller domes and have to go to a colder plug??? I shaved the head and installed a set of PTR mids....plugs have a chocolate color to 'em so I feel the jetting is good but I notice on the electrode or ground strap of the plugs the carbon is burnt back past the strap's bend. This leads me to think the plug may be too hot because I heard the carbon should be burnt back before the bend or in that region. Any thoughts? I'm runnin BR8ES now. Should I try a colder plug like a BR9ES?
  22. Maybe he's in a ditch with another person's clothes on? Hope not!
  23. I fully agree! Just put a set of pipes on this winter and the only thing keepin me back is the money Modding stuff is so fun! Once you get in there and start wrenchin...its a breeze...well sometimes.
  24. Another great thing about 2-strokes too is that a twin cylinder like the shee has a power stroke every 180 degrees of crank rotation or there are 2 power strokes in one revolution.
  25. Happy B-day man! Be sure to tell us how you're feelin tomorrow morning. If there are pictures, especially if you happen to stop by a strip club post 'em!
