  1. I have IRazr's that i'm happy with
  2. Hey all I was trying to point out is that you can buy high compression pistons for a Banshee (which you said there is no such thing) and you can get plugs that NGK claim are anti-fouling..........I never said that either were the best nor do I run them. I have run Vito's SS pistons and never had any problem with them cracking or catching the exhaust port - maybe I was just lucky. I would think that there would have to be alot of clearence for the piston to rock enough to catch to port
  3. I never said I use Iridium plugs - I said that NGK makes them. I've always used BR8ES plugs and never had a problem...........I learned how to tune my bike along time ago - maybe you need to learn how to read what I wrote
  4. Well genius - Vito's Power Pistons (not their SS pistons) raise the compression about 10lbs which I guess would make it a high compression piston NGK makes their Iridium plug that replaces the B8es or BR8es that they claim is anti-fouling........it's much harder to foul then the regular plugs Also explain to me why a Vito's piston would snag to top of the exhaust port any easier then a Weisco or any other. If the exhaust port is NOT cut wider no piston should snag it So who's the idiot now? I've run Vito's SS pistons in the past and have never had a problem. I agree that the power gain won't equal a good port job but there a a very noticeable power gain
  5. They're all good.............I decided to go with OMF Scalloped Beadlocks - they're on Douglas wheels and have scalloped reinforcement rings in the inside
  6. Mod Quad and Pro Design makes a billet aluminum filter flange for it that seals up really well - definitly worth buying. Link: http://modquad.com/store/search_results.as...LL&iLevel=1
  7. I've run a couple sets of forged pistons without any problems. I think the problem is that you can cold seize them alot easier then a cast piston - you have to warm them up properly. You also have to run more clearence then with cast piston - that is where alot of people make the mistake of thinking they can bore the cylinders and run regular piston clearence (Yamaha specs). If you run the proper clearence and warm it up properly before driving you should not have any problems with forged pistons
  8. I run CPI's with the stock airbox for a while until I chaged to a Toomey 2-1 filter. You shouldn't have a problem - Run lots of vents in cover or a Pro-Flo flange w/o lid or you'll lose power
  9. Banshees fire at both TDC and BDC because there is only one coil (when one pistons on TDC the other ones on BDC). It is possibly that it if firing only at BDC on that cylinder and thats the spark you see. Check pick up coil and flywheel
  10. 22" tires are not that big for a Banshee - you should be ok ..........you might want to gear in down a little because sand really robs power.
  11. What's the outside diameter of the tires and what mods do you have
  12. He said he was at sea level and had a K&N filter - you must be at a higher elevation
  13. That seem very lean to me especially if it's ported and considering the temperature here now
  14. Are you from Boisetown, New Brunswick?
  15. If all you have is pipes you'd probably be around 280 if your running full airbox lid. I was 300 in summer and 320 in winter but my airbox lid was cut and I had some other mods
  16. They flow better allow for larger carbs and the main advantage is boots don't crack like the stock boots do. Doubt if the boost bottle makes any difference but mine has one.
  17. I had to jet a couple sizes bigger when I was running Vito's SS pistons. You need to rejet because of the difference in flow these pistons have - they have bigger windows and change the port timing
  18. Shears or CPI will give you more topend but you will lose on the bottom which you might not like if trail riding. Porting might be the best for you
  19. I had no problems but make sure you have a heat gun so you can heat it and stretch it so it will lay flat. It's much appling window tint - spray the back side of the sticker with warm water that has a few drops of dish soap in it so you can slide it around on the plactic to get it exactly where you want it and squeegee it. Any where it wont lay flat heat it some as you squeegee. Spay the topside of decals as you squeegee it so it won't scatch. The squeegees I use are for appling body fill on cars.
  20. Miramichi, New Brunswick
  21. The carbs I have you use Keihin jets for it
  22. I have the ones that Vito's were selling with their Dial-A-Jet on them and the work fine.
  23. By the time you buy the 404 kit and have the sleeves installed you could have Cub cylinders
  24. That's great to see Nicky win the title...........I've been a fan of his since he was about 15 or 16 years old beating all the veterans in AMA. Didn't look to good for him after the second last race when his team mate took him out but he pulled it off. He was on Windtunnel last night and said he signed with Honda again for a couple more years.
  25. I really like the IRazr's I have
