    boost bottle

Some people notice gains, most don't. But quite a few people have developed airleaks from using a boost bottle. I'm not willing to risk my engine for a 20% chance at having better throttle response but you go right ahead.
  2. I've heard that Trinity pads their dyno. Dunno if that's for customer bikes as well or just the shop bikes. But when you see supposed 100 HP Trinity bikes getting beat by bikes dyno'd at 80HP over and over, it raises a few questions.
  3. ...with men
  4. Screw the truck, I'm getting one of these: Stupid car measures 8ft x 5 ft and gets 70 mpg.
  5. Funny thing is...I'll bet some of the younger members on here don't even know what that is.
  6. Not me man...numb nuts above my post.
  7. I always wonder how much the media affects the price of gas. Every summer for as long as I can remember they've had those "Special Repots" talking about how high gas prices are going to reach over summer. Seems liike as soon as the media starts reporting it, gas prices start climbing - even like now when its not even close to memorial day! Kinda makes you wonder if the media is responding to the oil companies or if its the other way around. On a side note: Can anyone remember the last time gas prices dropped after summer to a price lower than what it was before summer? I'm thinking it was 96-ish. I keep track of what I pay each time I fill up and I was looking back thru my book. I was paying 2.20 before last summer, best I did since then was 2.30 a few months ago.
  8. Out here in California the Highway Patrol takes care of this sort of thing. Just copy the auction and take that to them. They'll rivet a new vin plate to the frame.

    boost bottle

Hey Wes...I'll pay you more to throw it in the trash
  10. Remember that advice...it will serve you well one day.
  11. Holy resurected thread batman!
  12. I believe its 1/4" for the line from tank-->carbs and 1/8" for the vent lines. RMATV has both sizes listed in their catalog but the website is only showing the 1/4" for some reason. Tusk Fuel Line [edit] Ah here it is: Tusk Vent Line

    boost bottle

Don't do it man! Do a search for boost bottles on here before you buy one of these turds. -unless, that is, you just wanna get one to throw at people.
  14. Actually the preload is just used to adjust ride height. Back it off all the way and its just gonna make your shee sit lower. Spring rate doesn't change when you adjust the preload.
  15. Post yours and I'll post some of mine

    ITP Sandstars?

Personally I like the stars better than any other v-blade I've ridden but I guess its personal preference. Some folks may prefer other v-blades but Cadillac is the first person I've ever heard say that the stars suck. So either he's talking out his ass, or everybody else is. Just get em, you won't be dissapointed.
  17. You'd need to mic em. Measure the outside of the pistons and the insides of the cylinders. The clymers manual lists the specs for what's considered an acceptable difference between the 2 but I don't know it off the top of my head. In addition, you want to check for either being out of round, or any obvious signs of wear - cracks, scratches, gouging. Check the ports for a rough edge, there shouldn't be any. Any excessive carbon build up should be removed. Did I miss anything guys?
  18. Tit, I was trying to calculate your gas prices into american terms. So you'd have to use our f'd up gallons to do that.
  19. Advanced timing tends to lean it out a little. For the elevation you prolly need to go down 1-2 jet sizes. For the timing, you prolly need to go up 1 size. So I'd leave it where its at for Nv, and do a plug chop.
  20. Um...I dunno about that. Maybe a clothed full body pic would be better for starters.
  21. Yep ur going the right way. Abrupt hits with a hammer work better than a steady pull when trying to loosen stuck nuts. If all else fails, hit em hard with a torch for 30 seconds and then crank on em.
  22. Figure they had to catch it somehow. My guess is her thigh muscles weren't as good as she thought they were. Right now she's probably thinking, "I knew I should have bought the Original Thighmaster and not that South American ripoff!"
