  1. You could always pick up some new cylinders off ebay. There's alot of em now since the cubs came out. Or you could do a 4mm cub as well.
  2. He said the bike is a "dune player" so I'm assuming that means more than just dragging.
  3. 3M roloc discs. Get a 2" arbor and then tons of 2" plus a few 3" green and red discs. Snap those onto a die grinder and have fun. After that do the tight spots w/ a dremel and put the whole thing on the buffer. I'm doing my rear hubs right now which sucks cuz they're steel and take WAY longer!
  4. I dunno. I figure once I get an EX frame in front of me I'll do a few measurements and see what looks easiest. Best guess based on pictures is to graft the whole front end and then just fab up the steering stem and plastic mounts.
  5. Yeah just unscrew the 2 screws clamping the twisty together. Take it apart slow and you'll figure out all the pieces and their positions. I'd imagine a few squirts of tri-flow or some silicone lube on the tube and then some cable lube should do it. That said, never hurts to pull the carb caps off and see how gooey your slides are.
  6. Oh don't even get me started on that Hilarious dickhead! Hmm...nope. Seen alot of assholes around here but not one that was smart enough to pick the name and save us some guesswork.
  7. Here here, well said! Cept its usually "fuel to the fire" but who's judging? I think its hilarious how all he does is say how childish our little name calling is when the only thing he posts is...you guessed it! I have yet to see a single, well thought out retort. Its always, "wake me up when you've got something intelligent to say". Well shit man, same goes for us. It was fun watching you get owned for awhile, but eventually even the nastiest train wreck gets boring to look at. Best part about all this is that he's still calling people out like if his bike is faster that somehow makes him more of a man. If I was in LS, I'd rather just break one of your kneecaps and call it a day. I'd enjoy that one moment more than beating you in a stoopid drag 50x over. Do any of you old schoolers remember that guy that used to come on here w/ the Alba Cannibal? All he could say is "bring it to Olds bitcccccchhhheeeess! All hail ALBA CANNIBAL!" Fuck I wish I could remember his name so I could try to dig up one of his old posts. Anyway, my point of all this is that dude had to be Enforcer's twin. Kept getting his ass handed to him over and over and all he could retort with was "bring it to olds". Eventually we got bored with the guy and even the new threads he started were ignored. Hence, we don't have an Glamis-version of Enforcer running around here anymore. edit: Ah here it is. Bonchclitstyle...
  8. yfzcentral has a pretty good knowledge base so its actually one of the better sites. One of the 4 stroke sites I was on (i think it was exriders) used to crack me up. Unlike here where every mod/repair question is accompanied by a how-to or "get a clymers," there's was, "take it to the dealership and have the pros do it!" Long live the DIY'ers!
  9. You're going to be increasing the leverage on your suspension so it'll make it softer i.e. you're valving needs to be adjusted. Also you're putting more stress on the front end, which if you're using heavy duty arms n' stuff shouldn't be a problem but you still wouldn't see me jumping with wheel spacers on. So yes, you wasted your money IMO.
  10. Ah but I'm an anal-retentive perfectionist...
  11. Thank you, thank you. My kung-fu is strong.
  12. Alot of guys use a meat thermometer and make their own temp gauge if you're worried about overheating.
  13. Both options will have their own difficulties. Is there really any less fab work doing an engine/plastic swap vs. a front end swap? You're still gonna have to line up the engine correctly. Add into that a possible custom exhaust, all honda parts, etc. and ur looking at alot more money! Front end swap u just have to jig everything up straight and replace just the front portion of the bike w/ honda parts. Really I think it would come down to what you have available. If I had a 250r or 400ex roller I'd be up for the engine swap idea. Since I've got all the banshee parts I need and just need a broken EX frame and front end...
  14. Sure there's a difference! 4 strokes lose alot less HP to wheel spin. On pavement the effect is alot less, but in sand I can see a lower HP 4 stroke beating a higher HP 2 stroke. I get taken off the line by almost every 4 stroke I race. Half way up the hill I blow past em like they found neutral.
  15. I think the Trinity setup runs about $450 new on their site. This is what I'm using: 35pwk from ebay: $68 DIY graydon style intake: freebie (made it out of alum. scrap I was able to scrounge up) carb-intake coupling hose: $5 Blaster throttle cable: $15 Single clamp on K&N: $30
  16. Unless ur planning on taking it to a dyno our opinions don't mean a whole hell of alot... That said, anywhere from 45-60.
  17. Well I certainly know when I've been intellectually beaten.
  18. Ya know its possible to make multiple come-backs in a single post right? And I thought loco was bad at the post-whoring!
  19. Nope, just enjoy pointing out the shortcomings of others I guess. My favorite part was when I had to go back and edit the quotes because the language filter wouldn't allow some of your "mature" comments.
  20. Oh I almost forgot to state the reason the HQ was even graced with your presence:
  21. Good point. You don't care. Which is why I ask the question: Why are you even here? I went digging through your post archive to try to find an answer to that. Here's a few highlights: (Maybe we should sticky this so new members know how to behave here at the HQ) On other sites: On religion: On addressing fellow members: On off topic discussions: On Opinions about gay adoption: On appologizing: On being a hippocrate:
  22. I'm the last person to defend loco, but even I can admit that his sometimes childish posts are accompanied by mod/maint. posts that are actually worth something to this site. Enforcer, have you actually contributed anything positive to this site during your 210 posts? From what I've seen, all you've posted is: We're immature, you're smart, you're faster, you know what you're talking about, and you're sue-happy. So lets see, that's a hit against us, then the rest are all about how great you are... Ever think that maybe you should start www.enforcerhq.com so you can sing all your praises without us laughing at you?
  23. Race and you'll know for sure.
