I rode a set of ZPS pep shocks from mark baldwin when I blew out my custom axis. They ride awesome, but there not as good as custom axis. I've ridden the bottom line elka's before on my buddies ex but never the full blown SSD's like duece is running. Nobody builds there shocks like elka does. Duece correct me if I'm wrong but elka severly over valves there shocks?? IMOA the more money you pay for shocks doesn't mean your always getting the good ones. You can spend 35,000 on your quad, if you can't ride it than you can start giving your money to ME , I'll find a good use for it.

My 2 cents in all this is. There's an up and coming kid here in town that sent his 450f to DR and Loren did his mx work on the cylinder and head. I raced his duncan 450f to duncan shee and I geared my 16/39 and he ran what ever loren told him to. 4 out of 5 races i beat him by a bike or a bike and a half. The last race I gave him two bikes. I was on his back tires in 6th but couldn't pull him in. We ran an 1/8 all 5 times. All the guys here in town that ride stock ones go play in the mud and trail ride. But I've ridden more stock 450f and shee's breakin the motors in for customers than I can count. A STOCK yzf450 will out run a STOCK shee all day long. I mean by stock is go buy it and race it. Nothin else done.

I'm in Columbia, SC.... I game for a rode trip any weekend give me a notice.

Never a pull, just the local necks, drag and race circle/flat track. The local fast guy has some old john deer built to the damn moon. Nobody can touch him in the drags, but he wouldn't run me on my shee. Even we I told him I wouldn't shift farther than 3rd (with the clutch).

That's exactly how you do it. Get your front end up off the ground. Take a pair of channel locks and put the handles around your shocks and push down on the spring. When the spring compresses move the ring clip down. Easier if you got a buddy around to help.

Only way your gonna clear anything first time. Nail the gas dump the clutch and pull up on the bars. And remember were the rear brake is. Some guys are just scared when it comes to mx. Then you get the cocky ones that die trying stupid shit.

A couple of guys at the strip run CPI's and the nut on the tank no problem. I've ridden there bikes with no problem moving up. Your legs will get warm but not burn.....I think there actually more forward then your pc's. Don't hold me to that its been a while since I was at the strip.
