Banshee Keihin Pwk 28 Carbs?
tats4life replied to BansheeRider576's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Off the top of my head, not a damn clue, I called the guy who set up my drag motor, and he's in north carolina some where dragin some guys for an ass of money. When he calls me back I'll let ya know. I'd look but the shee's strapped down to his dyno and the shops locked And to answer your question about running on an unported motor, I think they they wake the motor up a bit, espically when you run a bottom or mid pipe. Like Pro Circuits or PTR mid range. -
Banshee Keihin Pwk 28 Carbs?
tats4life replied to BansheeRider576's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I have a set on my drag shee and they work great. All the guys I ride with that have mild port work run the 28's and love them. There all running pyramid reeds though, none of my friends run v-fore reeds. Most of the guys that run mx port work like I do run 34pj's. The pwk 28's are extremely easy to tune. I would recommend them to anybody. If your going to go all out drag then depending apon your motor the 28's might not be enough. my .02s -
I agree with Jdeiter. I've been running custom axis for the past 2 years. Next season I'm thinking about running the quad rate elka's with my DC-4 lsr arms. Haven't decided with a link or no link setup. Plenty of time, frame will be here friday

American Racer 21.5`s On Brand New10x10 .125`s

how much for grab bar is it the mx or desert? -
The shock mount is the same, on standard travel arms, on long travel arms the mount is farther out. But you do need stiffer shocks, because the leverage point is moved out.

Serious Problems After Porting And Rebuild.....
tats4life replied to KEVPOPPAPUMP's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If it's your clutch use a clutch from an R1 street bike. That's what I use and have always used with no problems. -
i raced open pro-am. next year i'm not sure what class(es) i goin to run. You can run in pro, a, b, c, pro-am, and your age groups, 13-16, 17-21, 22-25, 25-30, 30-40, vet which is 40+. the guy that got me hooked up with duncan is goin to run vet and probably pro-am on his yfz450. loren's got his cylinder now. Theres alot of shee's in c class. most of those guys dnf, they try to go to fast.

My advice for ya is get some a arms +2+2, +2+1, depends on what you want. What ever length you add to the front subtract that out of the swingarm. You don't need to go shorter than -2 for mx, anything shorter will cause you to loop out. Shee's are fine for mx I've been racing the nationals since 98 on a banshee. I just sold it so now I'm building an outlaw lsr shee. I've ridden plenty of R's but they just don't make the hp a shee does. I might get beat coming out of a corner by a couple of bikes but I will make the distant up. Banshee's are fast on a track when you get the power to the ground. Jumping bike just comes with lots of pratice. Any time you go race, try to follow the fast guy around the track and keep his speed. Your pipes are fine, lose the tors if you still have them, shocks it's up to your bank roll, 2 into 1 setup I don't like........make sure ya run a taller tire in the front!

All the guys I ride with have kids, and I want some little rugrats, I'm tired of turning wrenchs. Most of the parents have bought quads or xr50's for them. Everytime one of the kids mess around or smart off, they stay at home and sit in there room. Not to get all mushy and shit, but I love to see little kids have fun espically when they think the now what ther doing. I'm sure you guys have taken your kids for rides on your banshees, the first time I took my nephew for a ride, man I'm never going forget that look. And I'll do everything I can to make sure my kid or kids first word is yamaha or banshee

Saw it sat on it and hate it. My buddy who owns the dealership got his first one today at 3:30 this afternoon. It's his christmas present to his 16 yr old son. It's quiet and looks like a cracked out ex.

Steering Stabalizer With Paul Turner Pipes
tats4life replied to SouthernBanshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Steering stabilizers help you control the bars when pitchin it side ways on a track. If you have ever tried racing with one and without one you fell the difference. -
Shift, you give your damn wheelie bar hell, it comes out the hole thou. Your dads jeeps is just F*UCKIN CRAZY. How much rwhp does it have. God that looks like fun

Which stabilizer are you running. I can help just let me know which one you have. -
I think your about to get your ass handed to you buy everybody on this forum, that wasn't a smart post.

Buy a honda 4-stroke they take mods better than suzukis and yamahas. My wives 440ex built by duncan hasn't had a problem since i bought it and built it. I've seen suzuki's and kawa's come apart at high revs with a 440 kit in though. Any 400 4-stroke stock is slower than christmas. thats my 2 cents

Frame Differences Between 87 & 91-04
tats4life replied to Wallrat's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
None that i can think of. I'd just go to the dealership and buy a replacement frame. My frame was less the 550 for brand new. Comes with no vin or title, just get it powder coated and use your old title or get it retitled as a 2003. -
What's your guys average speed. I have had to run from the cops riding in the sand pits here in south carolina. It's the baddest feeling slinding around a turn wide open in fifth. I was set up for mx when that happened about 2 months ago. Turf Tamers don't hold up for shit on freshly paved roads, but damn it was fun. Thank god for horsepower and slow ass cops.

Dude, u trying to kill yourself or just end up in the icu. Save the cash and buy +2 arms and a +2 or +4 axle.

Got a hardcore mutant with an RB motor.

I sounds like your not pulling up on the bars as you leave the face. Next time you jump pull up on the bars. When your in the air push the guy out in front of you, that way when you land the rear tires will hit first. Check your rebound sounds like its to fast and adjust your compression almost all the way hard.

They run mids on all there mx shees, and worked over high rev's on there dune/drag shee's. Tavis's old mx shee is for sale if anybody's got a spare 25 grand. The only thing I didn't like was the tranny and Loren always uses a stock frame.

I never ride alone, i'm always wearing knee, ankle braces, chest protecter, tech 8's and riding gear. I've seen just about every kind of injury at the nationals. I don't show up like one of the rednecks with just goggles on , shorts, sleeveless shirt and flip-flops. Yes I do drink sum liquid courage sometimes when riding. I now my limits of drinking and riding limits. FYI in the past year 17 kids/adults have died on atvs in South Carolina
