  1. I put solder in the c shape and did both sides of both pistons numrous times and could not get the same reading as taking the head off and doing it the correct way. I was .003 to .005 bigger every single time. It is not accurate imo. If you stick it through the head and your getting a reading closeto the low end of your range you wanna be. You may be off. This was my experiance so take it for what its worth.
  2. Yea thats what it is internet badass. Im sure im the only one who doesn't burn up tranny fluid in a few rides.
  3. I thinks somethings up. I can ride a few trips and my cheap atf is still red.
  4. Cascade shock spring. Longer break line.
  5. Can the 6 handle moderate trail abuse? Or should it be an hd?
  6. How well does the gopro hold up to dirt and mud?
  7. Good write up. Never relized how inaccurate just sticking the solder through the spark plug hole was until i took the time to do it this way. This is the only way to get an acccurate result. I think i was measuring . 056ish the half ass way and .051ish laying the solder accross the whole piston. This was the difference of me needing differnet domes. I was also told to try to use solder the does not have the flux core.
  8. Put it on thick and let it dry over night. Tighten bolts with impact. Be sure to make it so cotter key bearly fits through. Temp fix but works.
  9. Uses stock style hubs. Any that use stock splines should work. I put red rail.road locktite on the splines of the hub when i put them on. Seems to help on stripped splines. The come off with a hammer.
  10. Ran a hot rods for years no prob. Idid have it welded when i got it though.
  11. Ran there race gas with no problems.
  12. Guages dont always read the same. If both cylinders are similar and it starts easy id run it. Its more important to compare where you were when you rebuilt with the same guage. However you dont know that number
  13. Get a wampus head and cylinder. How the fuck is a cub cylinder going to look sleeper. Having a stock head on a cub just looks redneck and half assed. Not sleeper.
  14. The sport doesnt grow because most people riding sport quads are young people who have little money. When they get older and want to get into racing they move on to race cars. Not everyone but a majority. Also most local places are either low budget or there isnt many dedicated drag bikes to race.
  15. When its worn and you need a new one keep the back plate and screws. There the best around i bet you could sell them to magnum basket owners.
  16. I really didnt care it was just funny that you had a lame sig as well.
  17. The whole side needs to come off the small clutch cover is just a screw on name plate
  18. Yea that and sent from my iphone useing talkatap.
  19. You still need a crank billet cases and a top end? Sounds like the whole motor or 8g in parts.
  20. I dont see any rubbing yet. Ill check when the entire clutch is assembled. Its a new magnum basket with a mattoon back plate i modified to fit. Didnt really like the weak magnum plate and screws.
  21. Thats what im thinking. Thanks.
  22. Wow. Maybe carefull with a sawsal. Since its past where is should be it shouldnt matter if you nick the tube. Or get a long tiny flat head screwdriver and a hammer. Just bust it out.
  23. Yes spacer is there. The basket will move a tiny bit be tween the two straight cut gears. I dont think the bronz bushing is bad but will check that again when i get home. I figured when i tightened the inner hub up it would tighten the basket but it didn't. Im thinking the differnce of the straight cut and angle cut gears is the difference? What do you think?
  24. Im putting together the bottom end of a motor and the clutch basket seems to have a little play that i dont remember other rebuilds having. Im thinking its due to straight cuts but im not totally sure. This is the first time dealing with them. I have only installed the basket and inner hub. Is it possible it will tighten up when the plates fibers and lock up are installed? The inner hub has no play and was put on with an impact. This is a new basket with new black mattoon cushins so it is not a problem of play between the gear and basket. Also im sure the 2 spacers are in the right spot as well. Maybe im just over analizing it.
