  1. 20 cc domes will not give the same compresion readings on all engines. Elevation wear and porting can change the numbers from motot to motor. Check the compression when your done. You may need race gas.
  2. Either way Its still probably faster then your 10 cub. Which was the whole point. Dont blow it up. Haha
  3. Yea white lithium grease is the key. They stay pretty well with it. Follow the torque pattern and youll be good.
  4. Thats what i thought. I put in 2 right away then checked the dip stick and i was half way up the stick. So i lossend the bolt and drained a bunch out to get to the line. Might put some more back in now.
  5. I have the mattoon lock up cover that is basicly a modded stock cover. My question is do you still check the oil level with a stock dip stick the same as a stock setup. I read somewhere lockups take 2 quarts but this is at the line on the check stick with less. Do people run more with a lockup or do modquad style covers just take more? Thanks.
  6. After it rattles for enough years it will just fall off. If your lucky you will find it and then you should have no problem throwing some paint on it.
  7. Thats the worst. I did that with an aftermarket tranny bearring once.
  8. Thanks. Buckeye did trust the previous. I threw in doubt when i thought there was only a 73.5. There isnt a chart anywhere so i posted here to ask. So its possible its a 68 as well.
  9. Talked to 2 very commonly used builders on here and one said its good for a couple hp and the other said he doesnt see much from it. Take it for what its worth.
  10. Some steels have tapered tabs so they are others are not. Pto is backward. Some flywheel seals have green letters that go one way some have nothing distinguishing them.
  11. Well im 30 min away and at work smart ass. Does the cheetah come in A 72 bore? Simple question for someone who knows something about them.
  12. Buddy on here has a cheetah he bought. He says its a 16 crank with a 72 bore? Is that correct? Or could it be 73.5 610? Checked the cp industries site but it was older the the old redline site. Says the guy who sold it said it was a 570 something.
  13. I work for norfolk southern in ohio. Currently a yardmaster actually.
  14. It goes up to a t that os above the carbs. I filled mine with solder and siliconed the hole.
  15. Running on pump gas your builder may suggest a serval. Not sure how cubs are on pump. Sure someone can give you some info.
  16. That setup is fine. Id just save or an aftermarket shock down the road.
  17. Measure the opeining of the carb body. The mm size is the carb size. Metering rod is the metal rod you can see in the carb body. Should have a size imprinted on it.
  18. I would for sure do a +4 on timing. Cool head is up to you. Not much to gain if you wanna stay on pump. Probably a 22 or 21cc dome would be safe depending on where you live. Both would help your bottom end.
  19. I figure if your going to spend all that money on a motor whats 10 min doing it right.
